I'm intrigued to know just who the 9% are who vote 'NO' for us to extend Arnie's contract ?? Man City fans??

Hopefully if we can sell this club to Shaq we should be able to convince arnie and erik to stay on!

Good news, both in excellent form this season and they link up really well together...

Absolutely all for it as long as they add a clause into Arnie's contract: 9.1. No Stoke City Player can ever be seen in public with a man bunn/top knot or any other ridiculous hair cut. No amount of talent can justify it. He can keep the hair, it might be his lucky omen. Daft as it looks. Love the ridiculously pointless poll at the bottom.

I'm reading that both are to be offered new contracts. Excellent news. They've got sign em first. That's up to club to make good offers to them both. Neither would be cheap to replace. On another note I reckon this morcombe and wise song idea has got legs.

Elizabeth my dear - Stone Roses
He'll tear you apart, he'll boil your bones
He'll not rest till you've lost your throne
His aim is true, he fills you with fear
It's curtains for you when Arnie runs clear

I'm pretty optimistic, worst case scenario for them is they sign new higher paying contracts and move on to bigger clubs while leaving us with a good transfer fee
Let's just get them both signed, don't dick around trying to be frugal and expect them to sign with 12 months left

Despite what you might read I reckon Arnie is pretty switched on and savvy about the world and the way things work:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> But Arnautovic said: "I don't talk about contracts with newspapers! I talk about contracts only with the club.
"But if they come to me I will sit down with them, for sure."

If they come and talk to me? Why wasn't it talked about six months ago?

If they come and talk to me? Why wasn't it talked about six months ago? Because he was only twenty months into a 4 year contract six months ago?

Interesting to see how the Arnie situation plays out.
Team Arnie may have their eyes on a big move if he continues to shine and the media start buidling him up.
With 18 months left, he'll hold the cards in the summer like Begovic did if he wants to see what's out there.
Don't think there's any blame attached anywhere - just the way of the world.

We should've made them sign 15 year contracts when we signed them.

You couldn't really blame him if he did sit on his current deal although I can see him signing a new deal if the terms are what he's looking for.

We should've made them sign 15 year contracts when we signed them. Yeah...with a get out clause heavily-weighted in our favour in case they were shit? :-)

Tell you what lads. I'm getting more and more excited by the day. Shak being asked by top players to put a word in for them to sign for Stoke, Arnie wants to extend his contract. Bring it all on! Gooooaaarrrrrrnnnnnn the mighty potters!

As long as we are prepared to pay the going rate, both Erik and Arnie (bringing us sunshine down the left flank!) would be crazy not to sign long term deals. Of course, signing a contract does not mean not being sold if an offer comes in that they and the club accept, but it at least ensures we get a decent fee if that happens.

What is the reason for Arnies consistency this season?
Did someone talk to him at the start of the season?
Im genuinely interested to know, because the previous 2 years he didnt get started until about February time.
Absolute genius at the moment - just hope it continues forever

And last of all, competition for places I agree with all those factors, plus getting used to the Prem, and he suffered knocks, niggles etc. Last year with the arrival of Moses Arnie started the season on the right too, he never looked as effective over there. Looks a bit like with Shaq taking the strain Arnie is given a bit more space and more possibility to drift into danger zones. I love Arnie and getting in players more on his wavelength is working wonders. The Bojan roll forward, drag back and back heel to Arnie for his pass to Shaq was just breathtaking. Hopefully there's loads more of that shit to come. Mint.

Yes, he wants to prove what a good player he can be at the right place.
