For me he seems to have a lot of the attributes to play CM and never hides from a scrap. I'd be interested to see how he'd do alongside Glen.

Certainly not a holding midfielder hes not good enough on the ball and clever enough with passing for midfield, He works very hard helping out his fulback but regularly switches of and loses his man ,a no no in midfield.

Yes, he clearly can. If only Mama was still with us, they could link up together to form a dream centre midfield partnership. I love these ideas

Not for me you don't get any time on the ball. No time to think in there, I think he'd try to dribble etc and get caught to often.

good defender, there have been various rallying cries for him to play at the back, i have so far resisted and held out but now gravity has pulled me downwards to my keyboard and I find myself in the face of management typing these words, "WALTERS AT CENTRE HALF"

This is the Pro-evo generation at it's best!
Diouf slapped the ball the other weeek so we're obviously also sorted if Butland gets injured...happy days!

This is the Pro-evo generation at it's best! Diouf slapped the ball the other weeek so we're obviously also sorted if Butland gets injured...happy days! To be fair, I remember once that Wayne Thomas scored a goal so the cry went up for him to play up front. That was before people had their brains addled by FIFA 15 and Football Manager. In this case I think the thought process is that because we lack 'fight' and 'spirit', we need people who can point and shout and run around a lot. If they have a shaved head and a vein throbbing in their temple, all the better. On that basis, I'd sign Scott Brown. Failing that, to hell with and just stick Andy Wilkinson and Jon Walters in midfield.

He struggles to play well in his true position so god only knows what makes you think he could do well in a position that is totally alien to him, god only knows.

Something like that's been tried, Walters and Shaqiri could be vaguely efficient in the centre but with this Stoke it's probably best not to try anything, there's no real direction or coherence to the team and any ideas such as that would rely on their attributes and playing part in a system which simply wouldn't be there to support them.

No dafter than those who think Geoff, Muni or Wilson can play centre midfield.
Who should we suggest next; Given?, Ryan?, Uncle Peter?
