For me, it goes all the way back to the 70's when they robbed us in two successive FA Cup semi finals. I have a long memory of missing out on two cup finals because of the Arse (very appropriate name for them). More recently, it is the bad mouthing of us and absolute arrogance and one sided vision of their manager. Yet funnily enough, in 1954, the first football shirt my dad ever got me was an Arsenal one, soon got rid though and replaced with a proper red and white striped one. ps I forgot to mention some of their mouthy asshole "celebrity" supporters such as Piers Morgan, Alan Davies, Dara O'Brien. I dont hate them particularly, but I do enjoy beating them more than most - poss because of the Artisan vs the Brute type media portrayal and Arsene buying into that a little arrogantly.
My grandad always had a bee in his bonnet about the 70s cup semi incidents, but to be fair thats the incompetence of officials not Arsenal
So in a nutshell, I dont hate them, or despise them, the most feeling that I get from them is complete boredom of the style of football they play and media whoredom of their high profile fans.
Put it this way, if the Champions League is on, and Man Utd were on one side / Arsenal the other, regardless of who they were playing against I would watch the Utd game as I could bet money it would be more exciting to watch.
Tap tap sideways tap, long ball down the channel (sorry, long pass), back, back, across the midfield , back to keeper. Repeat.
Boring.

Not one of them have stood on the grassy bank at Wigan or similar league grounds to " support " their team. They hav'nt got a fucking clue about being proper. Remember that twat on their TV saying how they were losing at half time 3-0 at the Brit to a facking pab team.
Their players are girly morons more concerned with haircuts and diving around like fucking ballerinas when players like Ryan just look at them. As for Wenger he hasn't got the balls to come out of the dug out when getting a little abuse.
Supporters, players, management fucking tea ladies all a bunch of cnuts.

Alright fellas, I'm going to be on Arsenal Fan TV this week previewing the game and telling them exactly why we aren't so fond of them. So feel free to get out any of your feelings too! I think you should basically just read out Mystical Descents post.  Don't mention Ramsey breaking his own leg by kicking the ground unless they do. If they do simply put your best bemused face on and ask why would that have anything to do with it? We know Ramsey didn't mean to upset Shawcross by breaking his own leg right in front of Ryan but we certainly hold no grudge over it.  |

Oh, and there's these bellends... Short of sounding like a cunt, I always find these guys end up sounding like raging homosexuals every time they do a song. They just can't help it. They do a song absolutely ripping Ashley Cole about the whole gay orgy lark, and they just end up sounding massively gay themselves, like every other line is about something being shoved up a blokes arse and him enjoying it. Surely they must see the irony in singing an entire song about that? Tell me after watching that video, you don't think the singer is out and out gay.... which is even more ironic considering he's the guy who sings a fundamentally homophobic song directed at one of their former players.  Perhaps it's intentional. They are fucking bent as I can't help but laugh at them ripping the specials though, usually I appall myself for watching but I did have a chuckle at this, the lyrics are fucking hilarious. They perfectly sum up how I like to believe all arsenal supporters feel about themselves! |

Most Arsenal fans I meet in the flesh are okay. I even have rational conversations with them and they are respectful of what we have achieved. But when you go on the internet and see the shite pedalled by the keyboard warriors that their club attracts, when you see the way they bait Shawx at the games between us, and when this fixture always brings out every lazy journalistic cliche in the book, then they really rile me and I hate them with blind passion - probably out of a defensiveness about my club. But it's short-lived, and by Monday, I am back to chatting about the game with Arsenal-supporting colleagues.
But just don't mention those 1970s semi finals!

The whole celebrating a fourth place finish like they've won the bloody champions league. If you sneak 4th on the last day against the odds, then I can understand it but it is the sole limit of their ambition which is ridiculous

I was expecting to see every reply mention Wenger's tirade against us in the press because we didn't let them win in our first Prem season and how it meant that we didn't get another refereeing decision against anybody for 2 years.
I can't remember how long we had to endure it but I rememeber that Pulis had a little campaign in the press about how we were getting repeatedly shafted and how that felt like the end of it. Pulis plucked the weeds that had grown from the seeds that Wenger planted.
I blame Wenger (and Arsenal) for our disallowed goals, our soft reds, our opposition's penalties and that fucking handball on the line that the referee couldn't see away at Sunderland, he was too busy looking for that pulling that Wenger was on about. Fucking Arsenal cunts.

The most awful twofaced manager in the history of the game. Wenger knows what we think of him. He won't get out of his seat, he rants and the whole crowd see that lady imitating him. He deserves everything he gets from the Stoke crowd.
The other thing is both 1971 & 1972 and particularly 1971 when at Hillsboro we were robbed and at Goodison an unbelievable offside went against us.
Wind back 5 years and you know what else I would say. No response from Arsenal FC to a letter of apology, No acceptance of an apology by Ryan.
I would happily go on Arsenal TV to try and say calmly what I think! I would probably fail miserably

When I want Arsenal away last year...three of their customers for the day ("fans" I believe they are referred as in that neck of the woods) were in the tier above.....having a lovely chat, each drinking a "Costa".
Then, they smiled and waved down to us with a limp wave....and for some reason... were horrified when all they got back was a barrage of verbal abuse.
Costa Coffee, camp waving at away fans, confusion about the direct response....a 10 second snapshot into the sterile Emirates, the home of posh boy day out.
just fu...k off Tarquin!
