He did very well. A few nervous moments but it's his debut and at times he looked very assured. One for the future, definitely.

How was his distribution today, lads? Decent got a good solid kick on him, he tried to slow play down on occasion and Everton tried to pounce on that but all in all id give him a 8/10 for the 90 mins. And a 1/10 on his penalty saving attributes but he can work on that |

Thing with penalties is some goalkeeper are good at saving them and some arnt. Sorro being the former Bego being the later.
It's a nak. Can be coached but for most it's natural. More of a specialist thing.
It's more encouraging that he's doing well against the likes of Lakaku and I wouldn't be to fussed about the penalties.

It'll be interesting to see what happens on Saturday now as surely Given has got to play and you'd think Butland will play some part as well but would be nice to see a bit more of this lad to see if that wasn't a fluke.

Those who were saying our goalkeeping selection would be weakened by this summer's moves may need to think again. For what is likely to be our third choice keeper, he looked a confident, assured, imposing figure between the sticks. All in all, it was a very impressive debut (if you forget about the penos!).

For me it was the fact that it was his debut and must have been nervous however, stood up well when 1 v 1 in the box , showed great bravery despite being goaded earlier by a rough challenge, his handling was good and yes his penalty saving needs work but you could not ask for more from a young man in his first game in a Stoke strip.
