John Salako just been banging Ryan's drum on SSN Good. I think it benefits Stoke long term if Ryan gets a chance whilst with us rather than having to look away from Stoke to get any international recognition. He is desperate to get back onto the England scene. Fact.

Announcement at 12.30 apparently.
Genuinely think he'd have had a real shot if there would've been a game in Nov/Dec when there was a bit of momentum behind him. And still think he'd have had a real crack if the injury wouldn't have come at the wrong time.
Still think he's got a small chance given how poor the Everton lads have been and the lack of alternative options, but obviously don't think his name will be there

Can't see it myself, just back from injury and I get the feeling Woy doesn't really like him. Waiting to be surprised...

Zero chance unfortunately. This will be another test for Roy. Can he ignore Kane (26 goals in 42 games), Austin (14 in 24) and Berahino (18 in 34)? All having very good seasons and posses records of better than 1 in 2. You wouldn't put it past the cock juggling thunder cunt to overlook them all and instead opt for his favourites, Lambert and Welbeck. Even Ings is having a better season than those two. Let's see if he'll pick players based on form for once. Or if it's another call up for Andros friggin Townsend. Andros friggin Townsend! He hasn't got a bloody clue ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

At the risk of repeating myself, Henry Winter has told me in person that he knows for a fact that Ryan won't get picked again by Hodsgon.

A recall for Michael Carrick...Jesus fucking wept No Berahino, Ings or Austin......it's all about who players play for and it fucking rotten to the core Carrick has been arguably the best player in a team that would be top of the league if you count the gameweeks hes played (he was injured earlier in the season). Its a good selection. Shawcross just hasnt warranted it this season. Hes been injured for a portion and not been convincing when he has played.

Well other than the fact that he's a total idiot who can write an international career off in 15 minutes.

Leighton Baines (Everton) - not at his best. Part of an abysmal back 4 at club level Gary Cahill (Chelsea) - unable to hold down a regular spot at club level Phil Jagielka (Everton) - not at his best. Part of an abysmal back 4 at club level Phil Jones (Manchester United) - Absolutely shit. Gormless mouth. Luke Shaw (Manchester United) - overpriced, not fit, unable to get regular first team football. Chris Smalling (Manchester United) - See "Phil Jones", without the coathanger mouth. Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur) - Great right back, if you take away all the defensive responsibilities.
Ross Barkley (Everton) - Done nothing all season. Picked on reputation. Adam Lallana (Liverpool) - selected because he plays for the bin dippers. Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur) - must have incriminating pictures of Roy Hodgson hanging out the back of Chris Smalling.
Danny Welbeck (Arsenal) - outperformed by Berahino, Austin, Ings.
The only decent players in the squad are Hart, Sterling, Kane, Sturridge, Rooney and perhaps Henderson (on current form). Defence is shit. Wingers are shit. Midfield is shit.

Hodgson clearly gives little regard for form and just picks his favourites. Ryan will never be called up by him as I guess he sees Stones as the next in line. Shawcross will probably never play again for England. The fact Hodgson has written him off after 15 minutes is a joke.

However, When I've seen Lallana recently I've been impressed and think he's a good player. Also, Not sure about Welbeck on consistent basis but he seems to deliver for England so he's worth his call up, imo.

It's utter bollocks I agree with you there but Woy showed long ago he doesnt have that kind of foresight. Hes not capable of creating a team for the future. Its an easy group but he will still make a scrap of it and needs the best players hes got, which right now is Carrick.
