A bad day at the office. It happens. Let's move on. And yes, I'm as pissed off as anyone. Probably more than the young uns who were not around in the early 70's. I hate losing to Arsenal with a passion. Bastards!!!!
OS.

Dead on. Of all the days to be so passive. Still, bigger game at Leicester next week.

' a bad day at the office'
summarised very nicely
don't character assassinate half the team -- move onward

True but if we are to improve we need less of them , just watching Southampton in comparison to us shows just how bad it was , no reason why we could not compete as well as they did

I agree.
But we cant perform like that at Leicester next week.

Today showed the difference in class, I'm afraid. This is where being able to get and afford better players come in. Until all clubs are allowed to compete on more favourable terms, these results will crop up. A bad day at the office. Move on!

Awful performance however all will be forgotten if we win next week

I cannot see why people are getting so worked up about this. We played poorly against a team that is better than us in the first place and had one of the League's best players in outstanding form to top it all off. There's nothing more to it than that.
I can do without all the bullshit being thrown around by those arseholes though. It's like Debuchy is the first player ever to be injured as the result of an innocuous challenge or something.

I agree with all the sentiments on this thread. They wanted revenge and were up for it we were flat and not. We'll be better next week.We never do well away against them so I don't get the gnashing of teeth.

Not the end of the world. I have bad days at work sometimes and the world keeps spinning. No need to panic, it's a marathon, not a sprint

Yes, we normally get beaten easily at Arsenal, not sure why we thought it might be any different today. Maybe it was the City result that got our hopes up a little. We were not at our best, but the result is more down to the gulf in class - than our performance. Important games coming up now need to get to 40pts as quick as possible. Leicester and Burnley are showing a bit of form and with the new managerial appointments at Palace/WBA it could be that this year is the highest points tally for survival - Leicester game is a massive game for us, defeat will have us looking down the table again

Never like losing to the Arse but hey-ho - shit happens.
I suppose the scum of the south will be happy tonight. Never mind, they all know that they will have to endure being the bitches of the Brit again next season.

It's not so much the result for me as the dire atmosphere....from arsenal fans and us......we were as Shiite in the stands as the team on the pitch

Totally outplayed, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up. It's just a shame that the likes of Claude and Ty don't possess the sef-awareness and humility to reciprocate. Let's get angry everybody, we lost 3-0 to a pub side, or do I mean wine bar?

Next game please.

They have lots of good players and were on form. Too many of our players were off form. That's football it happens. If we win at Lester it'll all be forgotten.

I understand that yes they are the better side and we can't really expect to beat them..but every time we lose to anyone i see 'bad day at the office' If I was this bad in the office consistently I'd lose my job, for some players to play with no passion or pride for that shirt today really hurts.. I don't expect us to win the league, I don't expect us to qualify for Europe, I know we aren't the biggest team in comparison to most of them in this league but I expect us to go onto the pitch and die for that badge, to give it everything no matter what. Serious questions need to be answered this January, I'm fed up.

Just don't know what to say sometimes after matches, maybe a bit of passion wouldn't go a miss

I'd never turn down a bit of passion for myself but I doubt yourself or 99% of the other people on here would oblige We never looked like doing anything in the game, I just feel like at this level we shouldn't be making it that easy at arsenal. Fucking hate the bastards, they're sitting at home drinking their champagne and laughing at us

One of my closest mates is an arsenal fan, he got a ticket for todays game, he text me at full time 'HAHAHAHA' It's probably why I'm so bothered...I don't expect us to do anything at leicester either, that's the depressing think. Oh well, just another bad day at the office i suppose..fucking stoke, don't have break your heart sometimes!
