Emotional start playing tribute to Phil Hughes.
On Sky Sports 2.
The Adelaide Oval looks wonderful. A different class to any ground we have.
Should be a competitive series.

Warner started very well.

I'm sure that delivery from Sharma will set some people off chuntering , given recent circumstances ......a legitimate delivery for me though

I'm sure that delivery from Sharma will set some people off chuntering , given recent circumstances ......a legitimate delivery for me though Absolutely. How many bouncers have been bowled in cricket? I'd guess there's probably more chance of being hit by a car crossing a road. Probably good for cricket that India bowled first - and that we got the first bouncer out of the way. We need to return this game to business as usual.

That's dreadful from Rogers .....poor shot indeed He does look the weak link in the Aussie side. He's a grafter (which I like) but ultimately nowhere near as talented as most of their batsman.

He has done well in county cricket over here for years , that's the reason they picked him for the last ashes series in 2013, to be fair to him though he has done ok for them .

A good fifty from Warner , but it has to be said against some poor bowling .

Made it untill lunch then went to bed . Watched the highlights earlier Warner played well for his hundred , Clarke looks to be in trouble with his back , one presumes it's a reoccurrence of his underlying problem , there were concerns as I remember prior to their last tour over here as to whether it would finish his career .....it wouldn't come as a surprise perhaps if that were to happen following next summers ashes series . India bowled far better with the new ball, at least they did not allow Australia to run away with it , although 354-6 is pretty handy going into the second day .

Australia will romp this, India's record on their travels is on a par with ours under Pulis. The batsmen will make runs but Australia will outscore them and their bowling attack is simply superior.

I think so too, India normally bat well but don't traditionaly relish the short stuff ( who does ? ) .India have never really performed to their ability outside of the sub- continent , I don't see it being any different this time .

Hard to compete in away tests when you don't have the bowlers - quick guys in Australia and swing bowlers here. Of course ODI and T-20 is a different kettle of fish where the ball is not so important so they can compete. This is of course exactly why test match cricket is the best form of the game; a real challenge of bat vs ball.

Clarke has resumed his innings ....No doubt under the influence of an injection or two .....Very different overhead conditions for the second day ...it may move around a little

The only movement of the ball it would appear was on the way to the boundary! Big tons for Clarke and Smith. But the test ain't won. 500+ after two days is a strong but not overwhelming position. I'm looking toward to see how Australia bowl and India bat. In particular, how much short stuff Johnson dishes out. Plenty I expect. Over now though to the ODI in Kandy.

Don't mention it Looking at the conditions last evening ,it was a logical assumption to make even with the pitch playing well.....what I didn't factor into the equation was the Indian's inability to bowl ! Yes over to Sri Lanka for the next instalment of the " Cook must go " saga
