What they are doing already, I said they 'feel' they need to be more involved so they are; it's as opposed to what Forest and Lincoln feel the need to do. can't argue with that mate, fair point It would be much easier understanding each other face to face rather than typing, I could wave my arms then

Not wanting to but in while you two argue about nowt but to answer the question about what caused the crush the answer has already been made public. Without going into too much detail it was to do with the gate being opened and the concourse not diverting people into the side pens (then a lack of action by various parties) feel free to butt in mate. as i said, the causes and why's and wherefore's as to what happened at Hillsborough aren't something i particularly want to get into anyway, been done far too much on here in the past and just ends up with people insulting each other when neither side have the necessary evidence to prove their argument anyway.i just didn't like the whole "Sod Liverpool and their Hillsborough remembrance because they caused Heysel" sentiment. i think that's where this thread is heading though so time for me to bow out and leave you guys to it.

I agree time to give this thread a wide berth. I've already stated my opinion on this thread but I was trying to keep things from going to far.
I'm out

I've been a viewer of this board for years now without wanting to register, just happy to read up on the latest gossip, have a laugh at the banter and so on, but this thread has got me to bite (damn)
The 15th April 2014 was about nothing other than remembering the supporters that lost their lives in the tragedy and on that day of all days to start a thread about Heysel was bizarre. The memorial service was not about apportioning blame or deciding who started it. It was about remembering the dead, about remembering fans who went to a footy match just like the rest of us week in week out, but never came home.
I probably won't bother posting on here again now but would feel embarrassed if fans of other clubs came on here and saw some of the shit spouted on here on a day that was about remembering a group of footy fans who died, many of whom hadn't even left high school. I thought we were better than that.
Just as a bit of info with regards memorials/remembrance by other clubs, my dad moved to Stoke from Lincoln to work in the pot banks in the 70's, but he remains a loyal Lincoln fan home and away (they are my second team). There were 2 Lincoln fans that died in the Bradford disaster and as a mark of respect Lincoln City named one of the stands the "Stacey-West Stand" after the 2 fans that died. I am well aware of how that disaster devastated both communities, both teams, and both sets of fans.
