I can't remember who posted it earlier in the thread, but there definitely needs to be a rendition of 'There is only one Glenn Whelan' or something to that effect. The actions of OUR player are very much overlooked. Amongst a multitude of Arsenal players who's first thought was not to help their stricken team-mate, but was to surround the referee, Whelan's actions were surely what anybody would have done in that situation, except for the scum of Arsenal. We don't want Whelan to get complacent do we?  |

Its ironic because out of the hundreds of the damn things that seems to pop up Ive yet to read an interesting/intelligent/witty/worthwhile sentence. Mind you to be fair I suspect the majority of them have a source many thousands of miles from North London and the originators have probably never actually witnessed one of your actual real life football matches!

Whilst Sol Campbell and the rest of the Arsenal darlings were bouncing around on invisible pogo sticks, demanding Shawcross to be sent off, there was two blokes who actually showed some decency.
Ryan Shawcross: Clearly traumatised by the accident, in absolute tears.
Glenn Whelan: Helping Ramsey on the field and even stayed by his side when the Arsenal physio came across.
That should tell you everything you need to know about these despicable, sub-human scummers.

I think as a club and as supporters we have made considerable progress in terms of negating the media hyperbole that we've endured in the last four years. It ends every time the Arse crawl to the Brit, and that should never change. I'd be hugely disappointed if it did. Indeed, I'm subtly engaging my 7 year old as to why Saturday may not be as she expects and I won't be letting us down! |

And our club let them get away with it The initial response from Pulis was superb, but after that, I think the club then probably took the view that a line should be drawn under the matter. Sadly, the matter wasn't left there. The problem the club have is that for all Arsenal's cuntishness, most of the shit about Stoke and Ryan has come from the media, and if you pick a fight with them, there's only going to be one winner. I wish the club had done something about this years ago, but there may be good reasons why they haven't. |
