They really don't get it do they As for the second article he didn't miss a couple of years at all.......it's all bollocks to fit their media driven agenda It's they who are not letting this go so bollocks to Wenger, Ramsey and the whole of that despicable footbal club who even put Ramsey on the front cover of the programme at The Emirates earlier this season for our game their Bring it on Fair game I say, it's those cheating bastards who bring this up every time we meet to sway the ref into thinking that we are just talentless footballers who foul the way through 90 minutes. I honestly think they would do anything to get a stoke player sent off or get a decision to change the game. Apparently my elders have informed me this is in the norm for the gooners and have used these "tactics" since the 70's. Let them have it lads there is many scum players to choose from with previous twattery against us. Wonder boy jack is getting my vote. Flamini is another who shouldn't be forgotten. As for the old prune wenger..

The sight of all those gooners running and re-tweeting to their beloved London-based media outlets is truly, truly pathetic.

I've got nothing against people giving Arsenal as much stick as they want in the ground, but these threads going on about it all beforehand are the sort of lame nu-soccer internet warrior bullshit that I'd expect from, well, an Arsenal forum.
Have a word with yourselves you fannies.

According to that Metro article, Shawcross had previous when it came to inflicting serious damage on his opponents.
I would love to ask them to expand on that. I bet they wouldn't have a fucking clue, because he doesn't.
Bellend.

Just as a reference. In the same time Arsenal have collected these 100 reds how many have we had? In some ways, it doesn't matter. It's expected of us (wrongly), but Arsenal hold themselves up as some kind of paragons of virtue, so it makes them look like the hypocrites they are. Live by the stat, die by the stat.

I can't remember who posted it earlier in the thread, but there definitely needs to be a rendition of 'There is only one Glenn Whelan' or something to that effect.
The actions of OUR player are very much overlooked. Amongst a multitude of Arsenal players who's first thought was not to help their stricken team-mate, but was to surround the referee, Whelan's actions were surely what anybody would have done in that situation, except for the scum of Arsenal.

Dear me... some people will just never get it. Standard Londoner syndrome. Most Arsenal fans aren't even aware that land exists north of the Watford Gap. I'm loving the fact they're all getting wound up about it though. I can just imagine Reuben, Tristan and Giles sitting in their favourite wine bar bistro sipping their half pint lager shandy getting right wound up about these 'dirty inbred' Northeners and their forum from 1998. Cheers for that one partickpotter

One of your players broke Ramsey's leg, so you're going to jeer him? Bit strange. The entire incident is beyond strange, bluebird - and, respectfully, unless you're directly involved you could never understand our issues (it seems, because no-one, bar Birmingham fans, do understand) The bottom line though, is do you really think we jeer Ramsey because his leg was broken?

One of your players broke Ramsey's leg, so you're going to jeer him? Bit strange. It's more than that bluebird........there's a lot behind this incident that's media driven by the puppet master Wenger and his pussy Ramsey Of course you won't know that as they have an agenda

We need a huge banner with "Welcome to Staff-ORC-shire" on - hanging from the A50 bridge.
We're self deprecating enough to find it funny. They will no doubt take offense and run home to their Alpen and copies of "About a Boy".

Obvious I know, but one the kids can join in too:
"There's more than one Arse in Arsenal one arse in Arsenal There's more than one arse in Arsenal..." etc.
Be a nice touch if we screened the footage of the Brit mass 'Wenger' on the big screen before kick off.

One of your players broke Ramsey's leg, so you're going to jeer him? Bit strange. Seeing as you're coming into the argument late... Ramsey sustained a horrific injury after he flew recklessly into a tackle and came off worse. At that stage virtually all Stoke supporters had a great deal of sympathy both for Ramsey and for Shawcross, the other young guy involved in the tackle. Arsene Wenger reacted by turning Shawcross into a pantomime villain. Not because Shawcross had done anything different than dozens of Arsenal players during Wenger's time as manager, but because Wenger knew the more ferocious the shitstorm surrounding the incident, the more protection his players would get from referees in upcoming games. He had to resort to this tactic because he had failed to replace any of the hard men who had previously provided that protection on the pitch. Ramsey has spent the years since the incident playing up to his role as the victim of an act of evil, rewriting history through a constant stream of newspaper interviews, public refusals to accept an apology, notes in the matchday programme, conversations with the Wales manager and finger-wagging goal celebrations. Whether that's because he enjoys the resultant support he gets from the X Factor generation who love a good story about a hero fighting against adversity, or whether it's because he's simply toeing the line of Wenger's narrative, I don't know. But that's why he's jeered anyway. His behavior since the incident. Not the incident itself.

One of your players broke Ramsey's leg, so you're going to jeer him? Bit strange. He isnt being jeered for having his leg broken (technically it was broken before Shawcross made contact but thats another story). Personally i think Wenger and Arsenal supporters should be the targets for any abuse, but Ramsey could easily put a stop to all this years ago. No other player or other club who has been involved in a player getting injured has had the kind of abuse we have so surely you can understand there is a lot of anger here. As a Cardiff supporter im sure you can understand better than most that we are proud of our club and are not going to stand for all the shit we have had to take. If Ramsey is going to be the target then so be it, the media have already made their minds up about us so fuck the lot of them.

It's strange that Arsenal fans seem to forget these guys: Nowadays, Arsenal don't commit bad tackles: I can't be bothered to put any more because there's fucking dozens. Wilshere, Flamini, Fabregas, the Wenger cynical revolution is well and truly moving right now. Let's be honest, Arsenal supporters are nothing but deluded hypocrites. Mind you, who can blame them, the numpty picking the team shares the same qualities.

I like to think I'm an emotionally stable, unbiased and empathetic football supporter. When it comes to reading an article written by an arsenal fan about this incident and our club however, I'm almost always left with a medieval desire to burn the stupid cunt to death.

Let them write what they want and let the rest of the country swallow it. I'm past giving a fuck From 3 O'clock on Saturday, anyone daring to associate themselves with Arsenal football club is getting both barrels. We'll be called scum, we'll be called heartless, but we'll always get that whatever happens. The history has already been (unfairly) written. What will occur on Saturday has nothing at all to do with what the media think, or want to portray, and it's certainly not about what any other fucking do gooding football supporter who hasn't got the first idea about the situation thinks. Its about Stoke City fans sticking up for Stoke City, about letting Wenger and his classless bunch of followers know that they took on the wrong club. I can smell blood already
