It will be a good move only for the fact that Hughes will be getting a player he wants to use rather than Jones who he blatantly doesn't rate. Odemwingie can also play wide so if he replaces Waltets as well then winner winner. We must bring in a front line forward though. No excuses on that front. Yes...replacing Walters is the only chink of light in this deal...

Can't comment on the KJ clearing his locker out bit but absolutely 100% true that Odemwinge is at Clayton Woods right now. Uninspiring is the word I would use but as always, we have to judge him in a Stoke shirt and not on his appearances for others. Shows the type of bargain basement signing we are chasing after though. Hopefully it is a short term deal until the end of the season and one which will with the short term in mind until Hughes can get the players HE WANTS. That last paragraph is bang on Dave and exactly what I've been saying It's better to wait for the right player than spend all the budget on one for the sake of it I'm onboard also with this deal What a bloody rimmer.

Lads I'm not sure where you've got this idea of Odemwingie's pace from. He's been as slow as a f**king snail all season for us....

The bloke had 2.5 years left in South Wales - why would he shorten that? Many reasons He may have come to an agreement with Cardiff and been paid up leaving him to find a new club in the summer and we give him 5 months of football before that He loses nothing that way and neither do we

Nah - some on here do not want to hear the truth BTW - you will get an on fire KJ - same as we did, for a few games and then the more 'It s too hot to play' (He said this to owd Harry), cant be arsed Jones will surface - but by then he may well have scored you the goals you need Even with money involved, you have much the better deal

If ever anyone needed any proof that Coatesy has pulled the plug on any real finance for the new manager then this has got to be fucking it surely?

RAF, it all depends on who else we get in. If this Riviere signs and Odemwingie pushes Walters for the winger slot on a short term contract i feel he will offers us something more than KJ was doing

If true, then it would seem Hughes and Pulis are alike, they both seem to like forwards who dunner score too many.

I'm not denying that I aren't But given the reckless spending of previous years something had to he done as it could not go on Players never used and aged players who have no resale value given 3-4 year contracts said it was not sustainable This will be a short term contract if it's not then yeah I will share your concerns Other than that it's a good deal

H Exactly. This guy will only serve to make Walters look even more dedicated and committed. We need more than commitment right now, but need to look at better options than this.

Lord knows I have cheered much worse than him in the past 40+ years But the concern is the lack of funds given the prize. I agree re some very very very bad buys, but and despite of Mr Coates backing this wonderful club of ours, they all, he included, need to share some of the blame if this is the hole we find ourselves in now by allowing such, frankly reckless spending in the past

He will have it in his locker as the number on excuse if we go down - then he can bugger off to a new club Stoke management team swallowed his QPR excuses - no reason another club will swallow his prepared Stoke excuses

Benji
Right again there is no money transfer team needed sacking last year told you weeks ago hear from a very very good source that they had been told no money
Hughes should resign for the sake of his career as he has been sold a ageing unbalanced squad , with no funds a talent scout that odemwinge is the best he can do and he works harder than Arnie and A chief exec who has failed to deliver in three straight windows Really feel for him he has no chance of keeping this group up as its now been overtaken in premiership terms
God luck KJ very shabbily treated and like last week out final piece of shit will no doubt be the back flip after the winner at Cardiff
A golden era thrown away the turning point undoubtedly the crouch palacios deal.

I'm glad we're getting rid of KJ and his 40large a week pay but Odemwingie FFS
Surely they must be paying him off and he is signing for us till the end of the season or something like that.
You would have to say Denise has pulled the plug on peters bank account.
Wank!

If he's not good enough for Cardiff and is always on their bench which are a club that everyone says are going down plus are one of the 3 clubs worse than us - WHY do some people think this is a good move?
