Can't understand this great desire by some people to disrespect players/explayers. Symptom of society I suppose. Can't we just thank them for what they have done and leave it at that.

Moan and Grumble saying they have been told by one of their sources that he's gone. They're reading the Oatie then. I truly hope this is the start of a belated clear out.

He had some good games for us during a problematic. stay, possibly not always of his own making. I for one thank him and wish him well.
makes sense to move on those who will no longer feature

Well we don't play him so we may as well get rid,but I think over the years he could have been a great player for us if he had concentrated on his game and not been such a tit off the pitch. Sums up my feelings precisely.

It actually sounds like a good deal we had with him. Get out clause activated, excellent.

I loved Jermaine when he first signed, such talent. Yet he wasted it with his lifestyle. Shame mine and most Stoke fans last memory will be that dreadful cameo on new years day.

He's been good but a result getting him shifted now. Should free up some money for a player not contributing anything. Could this mean someone coming in.

I await the impending arrival of his mrs telling us how ungrateful we are and should lay off him for all he's done for us.

....It's been a ride! I am interested, mind, in why he was re-signed, scored a goal to win the game for us at The Hammers and then basically didn't play again, except for the Everton debacle.
Good luck to the lad nonetheless though.

Doesn't reflect well when you consider Hughes signed him and in such a short space of time, is getting rid.
I know players need to put in the effort, but he couldn't even manage a full year with the honeymoon period of a new manager?
Hope that Hughes it's just a clueless clown, making terrible decisions and having to make mess undoing them...

Good signing for about 18 months, but time to move on for both parties. Hope he finds another club soon and wish him well

Hope that Hughes it's just a clueless clown, making terrible decisions and having to make mess undoing them... Have you read the Sentinel report ? If you had you'll have seen we gave him a contract on reduced terms and WITH A GET OUT CLAUSE IN JANUARY if he didn't perform. He hasn't so we have. A perfectly sensible approach by Hughes/the club I would have thought

So the signings so far:
Jermaine Pennant - Shipped out Erik Pieters - Bang average, at best Marc Muniesa - Out of his depth Oussama Assaidi - Decent signing Marko Arnautovic - Blows hot and cold, certainly got talent though Stephen Ireland - Jury still out John Guidetti - Fingers crossed
Not exactly going well is it. Rabbit out of the hat time in the next 7 days.
On the plus side we've offloaded some shit out.
