Isn't bitcoin valued at less than half of what it was back in Dec 2017? Oh yes, it is. I think you may need some history lessons mate. This post π It was a fantastic post at the time.

In Sweden this bitcoin thing for some reason seems to be seen as a sin. Companies within bitcoins have used famous or semi-famous people now and then for commercial purposes, and the famous people have been forced in articles and on tv to say they are NOT dealing with bitcoins. Is it the same in England or elsewhere?

Itβs a technological marvel as far as Iβm concerned.

Then they're leaking both ways. Just got myself a position in the queue for a library book about bitcoins. It's all about queues in Sweden. It will probably arrive next month.

its a revolution mate, wait and see then, predictions are it could reach 10k per coin Currently at just under 49,000 dollars M A friend of mine has done very well out of Bitcoin. Bought about $15,000 worth when it was $100 a coin. Sold a load in 2018? for about $2million when it was $17,000 and retired. Sensibly, he kept hold of a few, maybe 30-40.I don't know if he sold them when it flew past $50,000 last year or if he still has them. Don't see too much of him these days since he quit work and started swanning off round the UK and Europe in his $100k motorhome. To be fair to him that is his only indulgence. Still has the same car and house. In fact, they downsized his wife's car to a Fiat 500 so they could hitch it to the back of the Motorhome. I am not even sure his grown up kids know, although they are close to their Mum so maybe she has spilled the beans. There were a few of them from work who invested early in Bitcoin and have now retired. They were all site based and I was in HQ a few hundred miles away. Rumours were that the crane driver made the biggest killing out of it. I used to visit site 2x a month but didn't bother in 2015-16 so I didnt get to hear about Bitcoin until a few years later. Even then, in 2017,I never got round to doing anything about it. I have some crypto investments now that I bought this year but still no Bitcoin. I won't be retiring on the back of my crypto investments but it's nice that some good people I know have done very well out of it.

Tbh I thought fuck that. I bought a load of crypto in early 2017 after trading oil and gold for a while. I reckon bitcoin will reach about 85k this year / early next year, Iβll be selling my entire portfolio at that stage and fully retiring. Iβll buy back in during the next bear market.

Ive got some but don't trust it entirely. Ive been burned on some. Main ones I have are Luna and ORN. Been burned on UpBNB and UpTrump alongside Ket and BBT. I am down in total but my mate reckons ORN and LUNA will be very big. M

When you say you've actually sold the non-existing bitcoins, what did you get, actual physical money or what?
The book I'm reading about it is quite interesting.

PayPal UK now allow the purchase and sale of Crypto
Of course, not your wallet and not your crypto, there is no transferring to wallets etc... but a big company the size of PayPal will do wonders for UK buyers to get a foot in.

The book was apparently written in 2018, so I wonder what has happened in the last three years?
The most interesting fact he presented within this field was about the Eco system or the Eco movement. The idea of using blockchains (without presenting any case details, it's just an idea) to get people paid for watching commercials instead of Facebook etc. It might sound like Left Wing utopia, but after all ... it's ourselves that should get paid for hearing, seeing the shit - not only the ones who lend out some space.
Other facts: No Swedish bank trades with bitcoin.
Q: why is it called bitcoin, shouldn't it be bitcoins?

The number one argument in that book FOR bicoin and other crypto currencies was silly as fuck! π€©
"In the crypto currency world you don't have a central bank involved, that you HAVE TO trust. So the number one argument for bitcoin is You don't have to TRUST anybody. Everyone is anonymous so you simply can't."
