There 2nd choice keeper Gerhard Tremmel is a good experienced pro as well.

Tremmel imo is a decent stand in keeper, Bony and Pozuelo well be tough to handle.

Let's hope he gets sent off on Thursday then We still need to get shots on target! Seriously, we need to play to win regardless of who is available for their team. The main advantage , if any, is that they are playing on Thursday away in Russia

Good time to play them if sitting on a plane affects them as much as it did us when we were in the Europa League

I would like to see a negative men behind the ball performance with the aim being a clean sheet at all costs. They will desperately hope that we go out and attack them

Great opportunity here. Michu injured, Bony misfiring, keeper out and a game after a long trip in Europe.
Don't knacker it up Stoke.

Will those 2 players for Sunderland who got sent off yesterday be missing in a couple of weeks or do they get 1 match ban?

I thought both were straight reds?
Either way, if both were for "serious foul play" and will get a 1 match ban automatically which should get extended to 3 games if no appeal.
If they were double yellows, its 1 game.

We're likely to be in the bottom 3 going into this game. It's imperative that we come away with a win.

Straight red is a 3 match ban two yellows is a one match ban but i believe a red card for a profession foul also carries a one match ban.

We must start putting some wins on the board and it must start at Swansea. I think we can pull away from the relegation places and our next match must be the start. I watched Swansea play Cardiff and thought they looked poor. They have a long trip to Russia to play on Thurs night and although a number of their 1st team will be left at home some will be required to play as they want a result to make sure of qualifying. They will also be without their keeper Vorm who was sent off in the Cardiff game.So no excuses LMH this is a match we should win, we won't accept poor refereeing decisions and missing chances this must be 3 pts and nothing less. Then follow that will 3 pts against Sunderland and we are mid table .

No I don't agree. Looking at the next 6 matches is a complete lottery and the only game that matters is the next one. If we win on Sunday it will have a big effect on the confidence and I can see us picking up some useful points over those future matches. This is a vital game and as I've said there are no excuses why we shouldn't win this game. Winning away in the premiership is extremely difficult but we need to do it 3 or 4 times this season to stay up and I think this game is an great opportunity to get our 2nd this season. We will surprise teams away this season, we should have got a 1 pt at Liverpool at least 1 at Fulham and 1 at Man Utd .

It's a bit early to be making these "win or bust" statements isn't it? We cold quite easily lose on Saturday and still stay up comfortably.
It's a long season and, while every point on the board is crucial, no-one has ever been relegated in November.
I have us down for a defeat next week, have predicted us to be only one point better off at this stage than what we've got in reality, and still have us finishing on something like 43 points.

Michu (ankle) and Vorm (ban) deffo missing, big loss for them, and they face a Thursday trip to Russia in the Europa before our game on Sunday Won't have better conditions to play them away ever! (Cue horrific 4-0 away defeat ) Got to go at them from the off and put what will be already tired legs under pressure and chasing the ball.

If they were double yellows, its 1 game. Watching them on the TV they were both straight reds. Even if they've been shown a yellow previously a straight red is still a 3 match ban. And the dirty fucker who stamped on Meyler (shame ) might even get his extended. It was horrific.

2 or 3 sendings off and 12 serious injuries on Thursday and we might get a point next Sunday.
