The team picks itself. Oh no, hang on Mark & co. do... Other than the DM dispute. I'd be tempted to go with, if everyone's fit.. ---------Begovic Cameron Huth Shawcross Pieters -------Jones N'Zonzi -----Assaidi Adam Arnie -----------Crouch Ireland for Adam Pennant for Assaidi Whelan for Jones Wilson or Walters if needs be. *If there is any room for sentimentality in the modern game, then perhaps play SJW for the first few minutes of the match. 100 starts! serious. If Palacios can be brought on for the last three minutes of a game, then why not give a player a run around for the first few? Then sub him. Because you'd be wasting a substitution. Are you serious?

Ireland would not get anywhere near for me so far he has cost goals at Fulham and Man utd and delivered nothing going the other way

If Walters and Whelan both start then Hughes needs to have a word with himself
Mind you, as its Jons 100th consecutive game I can't see him being dropped

I wasn't entirely serious about the subbing. I am serious about Jonesy in midfield though. Lift the burden and expectation of marksman from his shoulders. I never have any doubts about the quality of Kenny's work in our half, defending corners etc. Kenny started his career in a defensive role, switched to striker when he came to England. Having him and Crouchie on the pitch at the same time for corners and set pieces would surely bag a few, and make us stronger defending them too. It'd also mean either Ryan or Huth could hang back at corners more. We conceded directly from one of our corners again on Saturday. Played deeper I'm sure Kenny would be less likely to switch off. More of the action in front of him to pounce on. His best work in attack comes from outside the box, when he's had chance to get into his stride, with a leap for an header or chasing summat down from midfield. Like vs Man City. Jones and N'Zonzi as a midfield pairing would be pretty intimidating. Just thinking outside the box... Too risky for a Prem game perhaps, but I've also got reservations about the alternatives.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but Pennant's passed fit and travelled.

A game we can not afford to lose!
Play Wilson and Adam in midfield, two wingers and Crouch and Jones up front, then we might have a chance!

"It's remarkable that he has been able to keep as fit as he has done and keep his performance levels so high that he has been chosen week in, week out" Have I missed something? High performance levels? On today I think if Pieters cnt play then the only person that will be replacing him is Wilson, would love to see muni but can't see it unfortunately

This is a must win for me, the longer we spend in that bottom 3 the harder it is to get out.
It's time to look arsed boys, look where this cunting around at set pieces and not helping the defence out has landed us.
Hughes has to shoulder some of it but for me the majority of the blame lies with the players, it's all very well expressing how much better it is playing under Hughes but prove it and put some fucking effort in.
Adam out Walters out Wilson out
Muniesa, Assaidi and Ireland in, younger, hungrier players with points to prove, not a bunch of one dimensional plodders.

Will it be the famous red and white stripes today or the charcoal and hi-viz number? Small things like this can determine the outcome of a game on a knife edge like this one

Walters has cost us enough points this season. Stick Assaidi on to give them something to worry about.

Walters without doubt will start, I am not his biggest fan but you have to respect his attitude and determination. He doesn't pick himself after all. That said we will find out next week if his inclusion in the starting line over the last few weeks has been through sentiment rather than talent! Let's hope he bags a couple of goals to celebrate the 100 and give us the 3points we so badly need.

We've been decent away from home and have had all week to prepare. Half fancy us to get something. Praying Nzonzi either turns up or is dropped.

I do believe its Make or Break today . If we win we will get an emormous lift . But if we lose its will be deep depression setting in . Stoke need points for all , players and fans ..

A Shawcross and Huth headers, an Arnie blinder and a Walters toe-poke - all miss and we lose 0-2.

Can't see us getting anything today and surprised at the optimism on this board. They're superior to us in all areas of the pitch apart from in goal. Hoping we can pinch a point but don't think it will happen.
2-0 Swansea
