Everything is set up for us to be ever so slightly tonked. RVP is likely to be back after injury, Rooney is in the best form of his life and this Japanese player (twice Bundesliga player of the year) has found his niche as the midfield playmaker following the victory against Real Sociedad. Let's hope that Moyes reverts to type and sets up a defensive formation that spares us too much humiliation.

10 of us going up at 10.11am from congleton, will be a great day. Only downside is I will have to spend the day with that whopper whydelilah Round Manchester for a few prior and then for a few after as it's the old mans 65th birthday, titty bar and stage calling methinks. GOOOOAAAARRRRNNNN STOKE!!! Two minutes Turkish.

Man U need a result,we can't score,only one outcome I'm afraid. Shite 3:0 Stoke.

It's a possibility we will get a stuffing. They haven't been too convincing but their forward potential is scary !!
They average over 2 goals a game against us when our main intention has been to keep the score down so if we did go at them who knows ? A draw of any description would be great but if they don't run up a cricket score and we threaten their goal or even score then I would be reasonably happy.
Going to be a tense watch first half.

Play like we did against Man City and if Utd aren't at their best we can get a result. Play like the last 2 home games 4-0

We've played better away from home this year. Should that trend continue, I would expect to see fight for a result.
Man U: 1 Stoke: 1 (Arnie)

Walters should always play in this kind of match. We don't need this to be a football game. We need that Old Trafford pitch to resemble Crewe railway station immediately after the train from Birmingham arrives, and a couple of minutes before trains for Manchester and London depart from two different platforms. Just a load of random people running in different directions, tripping over each other's feet, screaming "Get out of the way you tosser!" and without a single football in sight. Walters is great at creating that kind of scenario. Whilst I disagree that Walters should play tomorrow, some of the analogies that you post are top notch ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

Take our two attacking options and replace with Walters and Ethers. Deary me. When Walters went off last week we played much better, in my opinion.

I agree the old "railway station chaos formation" isn't really the way forward in the long-term, but it's got us the occasional point against technically superior opponents in the past, and it's not as if the alternatives to Walters offer any skill, pace or power anyway.

I'm going to tempt fate and say it's a 1-2 victory for us, with Arnautovi? finally finding the net (twice)! With one being a contender for goal of the month!

Rules of engagement for today. If we get something Hughes is a fucking genius, if we get battered Pulis left us with a £100M worth of dross.
Carry on.

We don't press we sit off and that's a model for disaster at old. Trafford , we have tweaked the lions tail Hughes saying they aren't what they were , we have players of questionable desire arnie, Ireland , assadi, as three .
I like Hughes and struggled with Pulis but this for me is set for a hiding and then. Hughes simply has to beat Southampton if he is to get to the Jan window as he would go to Swansea under real threat of two games to save his job that one and Sunderland and in those circumstances anything can happen

Always a tough game, could be the day they click, could be another day where it's a good time to play there.
What are people looking to see?
For me it's
Defend Well, no sloppy goals .
Play with passion and a lot more energy

I'll be looking for a bit more urgency from midfield, or a sign that that's being worked on

Yes defend well and keep shape, if gaps appear at their end then have a go. Wba attacked them from the start and could have won by more. We've not got flair players like Albion we can still go there with a positive attitude.
