For this game, yes. Next week at home against Southampton, no. Utilising the squad available. Talk about being negative. Your as bad as Pulis. Walters offers absolutely nothing. Might as well field 9 outfield players with him playing. Negative? Two wingers and two forwards away at Old Trafford is negative? You've lost me.

And Walters, well, we all know what he offers.

And Walters, well, we all know what he offers. I just think Pennant will give us a better quality of ball from out wide and dead ball positions. That could come in handy if we struggle to open them up through the middle or from open play. As for Walters, I know he isn't a popular choice but I think he'd be a good player for this game. Anyone expecting an easy ride because they haven't had great results this season is probably in for a surprise on Saturday. They are still a very good side, and it's on their own turf. I don't expect him to go with the XI I posted, but I don't think it's a negative one either. We were non existent in midfield against WBA. We'll need a good spine to the team at Old Trafford.

Walters should always play in this kind of match.
We don't need this to be a football game. We need that Old Trafford pitch to resemble Crewe railway station immediately after the train from Birmingham arrives, and a couple of minutes before trains for Manchester and London depart from two different platforms. Just a load of random people running in different directions, tripping over each other's feet, screaming "Get out of the way you tosser!" and without a single football in sight.
Walters is great at creating that kind of scenario.

I had a dream tat we were winning 3-0 at half time, Crouch scoring one of them. I then carried on said dream, and was talking to my brother at half time, and then woke up. Dreams can come true, can,t they? P.S. Would have loved to know how it actually finished! Second half you shagged Abbey Clancey and won the lottery. TBH there is more chance of the second half coming true =). United will be out of the championship race if they don't win, that will give Sky nothing to cream their knickers over, so good effort by us but lost 3-1 similar game to Arsenal.

I don't want to be pessimistic but based on the past few games can anyone honestly see us scoring at Old Trafford? Even a shot on target seems unlikely to me. I know West Brazil won there and Southampton got a point, but this is Stoke! I think we have come at just the right time for MU!

That's a good a little piece from Sparky, he's right no better time to play them, it beat's Pulis and his annual arse licking of United, never used to sit well with me, even if has was proved right pisser.

If some of those criticising our strikers were Chelsea supporters, they would be on suicide watch now! I read somewhere that in their 8 league games this season, only one of their strikers has scored a league goal. How much did their strikers cost?
We obviously don't have the quality in midfield, particularly in terms of goal scoring ability, that Chelsea has. We cannot, therefore, rely on many goals from midfield to win games. I would like to see more emphasis placed on crossing the ball into the box (we seem to have lost the knack for doing that so fat this season) to take advantage of the aerial prowess that Jones and Crouch can provide.
I don't mind which of Jones or Crouch starts but if our strikers are going to continue operating in isolation I think that Jones is the better option. He's been written off by many on here following his "performance" at Norwich but let's be clear - that display was terrible all around and I can't understand why only a select few seem to have been singled out for criticism.
Being optimistic, our early season performances were very encouraging and I see no reason why we cannot revert to that - and quickly.
Tin hat on and all that.....

Paddy Power Mark Hughes has said that if Man Utd lose one more game they wont win the title. Moyes has responded by saying that if Stoke win one more game he'd be very f*cking surprised.

In what way is it a worry though? As Hughes said it would be more of a worry if we weren't creating chances. When you've had it drilled in you to be defensive for the past 5 years then it's always going to be an hard cycle to break.

If Stoke lose on Saturday and we enter the bottom 3 Dunna Werrit! I think things will change as the season goes on - Last season it went a little pear shaped after January - the opposite will happen this season ![(whistle)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/u7JMveaFGUL6du8bflWQ.gif)

I think I'll give this board a miss Saturday. The Pulis rimmers will be out in force if we lose. Not expecting much from this anyway, a draw would be a bonus, in my opinion.
