So...the revolution has delivered us a football team playing in the style of West Brom several years ago......passing it across the back without any intent is just as bad as getting Ryan to belt it 60 yards to Crouch on a diagonal.
I want a football team that plays all types of football and not get tuck in one dogma and do it badly.........that means passing but also long balls and everything else thrown in.
Some of the more rabid Pulis out brigade seem to be wetting themselves over a few passes across the back four that go nowhere and never have any intent to go anywhere.............shit football as bad as anything under Pulis but just done in a different way.

Not seen us this season yet. But, a blind man on a galloping horse could tell us that we need rid of Crouch, and one or two players adding with lots of pace in the final third.
We'll be in trouble otherwise, lots of it.

And why not? You keep the ball, the opposition don't score. It's the way football is meant to be played. Along the ground. Not in the fucking air. You want that, go watch rugby. Well a think a combination is acceptable. Nothing wrong with scoring off a cross or the like. If it was meant to be played solely on the floor we'd have a head height rule enshrined in the laws of football. Isn't that what they do in Spain? No overhead height rule. And it's the reason they always produce the best players. Over here it's all kick and rush. We'll never win anything playing like that.

Cartman will be happy! From an Adam corner too. It's the first time he's found a Stoke player from a corner.

GOAL: Walters scores against his old team with the simplest of finishes at the near post from Adam's corner. 51 mins. 0-1
was a bit of a scrambled effort but they all count. He didn't celebrate, so respect for that. Potters lead 0-1

We have largely the same midfield and attacking players as last season, often with the exact same players in similar positions... why are people surprised that we're not scoring loads of goals all of a sudden?
The difficulty playing this 4-5-1 / 4-2-3-1 is you need the striker or second striker to be quality and a cut above the rest... we have neither in those positions. As technically good as Crouch is, he's nowhere near mobile enough to consistently and effectively play as a lone striker.

Funny isn't it? Out of the list of striker's on our books Walters was the main one everyone wanted rid of. Yet he seems the only one capable of finishing.

I still hate the not celebrating at Your old club shit irrespective! Funny isn't it? Out of the list of striker's on our books Walters was the main one everyone wanted rid of. Evans goes in hard on Palacios. Huth doesn't like it and gives Evans a bit of a shove.

Crouch is too slow and weak to be a threat, Jones has the touch of a donkey, plays with 2 left fee. At least if you're fighting for the game or holding on to a lead or something you can rely on Jon to give it his all for 20 mins off the bench. 2 of the biggest earners in the club are completely toothless in their role.
