Fantastic gesture Stoke. I was going to drive down Liverpool and pay parking however I will now use the coach for all away games I attend.
Hopefully more clubs will follow suit. Bravo Stoke.

I wonder if they will be running a free mini bus from the Lake District or whether they'll just pay taxi fare for us? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) Seriously, well done to the club - it won't help me but it is a great gesture. It could for games south of stoke, especially now we have lost Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn etc. and replaced with clubs south of Stoke

This is absolutely brilliant. A wonderful gesture by our club, and so long as there are no nasty little T&C's, e.g. only 2 coaches per match then we can be nothing but absolutely grateful. If people are so desperate for a pint then they can use the train or their own private coaches, nobody is stopping you. The rules are clear, you aren't allowed to drink on official coaches. It's to stop idiots that we see all the time, drinking far too much and then making the experience unpleasant for kids and people who just want to enjoy a game of football. Deal with it. That is not the reason at all , the reason is its the law.

Liverpool Tickets are priced £42 for adults, £31.50 for over 65s and £15 for under 17s. Don't forget coach travel is FREE! #StokeCity #AwayDays

Don't forget coach travel is FREE! #StokeCity #AwayDays I reckon the cost of away tickets will be higher this season as the opposition will taken advantage of the extra income on the stoke supporters knowing that free travel is an incentive to go? For example arsenal averages 30-35 where this year could be 40-45?

A combination of cost and TPs anti football away from home killed all interest in going away for a lot, me included. Shall be looking at the fixtures and planning a couple me thinks

Given the fact I live in Cambridge Id rather the club spend the money on a new fucking striker ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/4tzqvp1fxEemag_TAXLJ.gif) Seriously though a really good move by Stoke and one that allows us to take even more of a moral highgound about our club being owned by a true supporter rather than a US conglomorate.

Stoke may have to keep this in for ever.
It would be hard to suddenly stop it at end of season

Well done Stoke,
Obviously as mentioned many times already, won't make a difference to a lot of people who can afford it, or want to drink on the journey, or are exiles (like me). But will make a massive difference to the many people who have been priced out of going to away matches.
Also good publicity for the team and the area.
Today's proud to be a potter rating 10/10

Great effort from Stoke.
More often than not we'll probably still drive as we like our freedom (and a drink) but a superb gesture nonetheless.

All Premier League clubs have agreed to spend £x on away supporters next season ( I don't know what x is). it could be on almost anything, so long as it benefits away supporters and it could be on your own away support, or away supporters coming to your ground (where of course the home club keeps all the ticket revenue). This is how Stoke City have chosen to spend theirs. It was discussed with Supporters Council reps. a week ago, when the position of "exiles" was raised, and the club agreed to look at whether anything can be done in that regard. About 85% of ST/members live in the local area.
I understand that Cardiff have said that away supporters will get free car parking, although I would imagine that will cost a lot less than Stoke's scheme.
There has been concern in the PL about the decline in away support across the league, and this is response to that. The more forward-looking people at the PL recognise that a vibrant away support is part of the package which makes it attractive to broadcasters.
