Just watched them at Glastonbury...Good band with a great lead singer...
The only thing they're lacking is a good song.
If you put to one side the excitable enthusiasm of their adoring fans ...it all becomes quite boring.
You can see why the Rolling Stones are still at the top of the tree , even though I'm not a fan of them either.

It's a great pity that Freddie Mercury died because, IMO, they would have surpassed all rock groups in popularity. Including the Rolling Bones, who I have never been a fan of.

They're ok but, to me the stones are way overrated. Stones - Literally dozens of classic songs that will still be played in 100 years.

IMO they did surpass all rock groups, and whilst I agree that it was a great pity that he died ( almost 22yrs ago ) I think his best had already been achieved, for me a defining moment was Live Aid, absolutely stole the show...

They're ok but, to me the stones are way overrated. Maybe I agree with you to a point, but you always know when you're listening to a Stones track, even if its the first time you've heard it. Mumford & Sons could be one of a hundred other bands that all sound the same.

Never seen anything like it. How they all switch to different instruments is amazing.
Marcus Mumford – lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin Ben Lovett – vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums, electric guitar Winston Marshall – vocals, banjo, dobro, electric guitar Ted Dwane – vocals, double bass, bass guitar, drums, guitar
Regardless of whether you like them or not, they certainly are a talented group. A breath of fresh air in a world where music is dominated by rap, auto-tune and general talentless crap.
Not bad on the drums either..

Oh, and the Stones are one of the best bands to walk the earth . Shame they're seen more as a fashion item now than a proper rock band. The amount of people you see wearing Rolling Stones T-shirt's that clearly don't listen to them is depressing.. same applies to people who wear them Ramones jumpers.

It's certainly not unique, just unusual for a band in the mainstream. However, give me a beer and the Stones, any day.

The Stones were shown mid-set when they slowed the pace for a bit. Very different for those there.
This includes a couple of clips of earlier.
I'll be watching the Stones in Hyde Park soon and I wouldn't swap it for a Mumford gig, thanks.

This is bland music for bland people who buy two CDs a year, and both from Tesco. If it was down to me I'd herd the entire band onto a rocket and fire the fucker off to Mars.

I watched mtv rocks the other day for the first time in years, and i was shocked by how wank new bands are, both British and American. Maybe it's because i'm getting old and I just think anything new is wank.
