Plenty of scope for young. Players mate in the development teams .. you can't turn you're back on a good players because he is on the wrong side of thirty ....class is class ....you pick your best for the national teams ....regardless of age

Jordan has been a little expensive, but I like the look of him , well over 90 mph

Jordan has been a little expensive, but I like the look of him , well over 90 mph So do I mate - skiddy and quick and he just seems to amble in? Rankin looked a bit classy when he came back on and slowed things down after the carnage of the previous overs? I hope Stokes progresses too, sharp bowler and looks a very useful number 8/9 batsman too? Buttler is now an excellent keeper and with a bit more consistency with the bat he could be a top player as well. (His knock on Saturday was immense - the 6 off Johnson first ball of the last over was outstanding). It would be great if these young bowlers became good enough to be in the running for a Test place - early days, but already look better prospects than the likes of Dernbach?

It would indeed mate ......to be honest I don't really think much of Dernbach , and I have yet to be impressed by Woakes with the ball . I think Buttler is really talented with the bat , he plays some fabulous shots , his keeping will improve if he does it more often.....He doesn't have the gloves at Somerset because of Kieswetter , he may have to move counties as England are keen on him keeping

They might have enough with that total, but driving home from work they were talking tongue in cheek on the radio about 400, when they were 200 for 3 with 20 overs left. At least we've given ourselves a decent chance?

Normally I would agree with you mate .....but due to reasons of health I have had a lot of spare time to use up over the last year or so , its the reason that I started coming on here Oatcake therapy mate. That will be the arthritis condition you've mentioned? A close friend of mine suffers badly, but he's on some newish medication that seems to have made a big difference? Hopefully you're managing to do the same? Anyway, if chatting to prats like me helps, then that can only be a good thing right? And they play so much cricket nowadays (9 weeks till the next Ashes series) there's plenty to chat about!

Well the arthritis has been the least of my worries mate .....but that's another story , coming on here has been a big help indeed believe it or not, it's always a pleasure to talk cricket with you and the other enthusiasts on here , its only nine weeks as you say and plenty more cricket to watch in between that, winter does seem shorter these days with some cricket to watch
