How much needs to be bet on a market to cause a huge drift? Such as Mark Hughes clear favourite? Not sure too much can be read into who's going to be the next manager on markets like this. Especially as Rafa and RDM were close to odds on earlier.

My three tips in order of probability and clubs interest I feel are rafa, Roberto (Wigan) and Hughes. We will see what happens.

Yeah. Just seen it. Can't keep up with everything tonight! Hmm. Hard to know what's going on and sort the wheat from the chaff. Strange there's been no tumble in Martinez odds and no other reports of interest. I think I might go to bed! Yep I haven't been this busy on here since transfer deadline day! A poster called chorltonpotter also stated earlier in that thread that we were going balls deep for Rafa and Martinez with hughesbas back up plan c. Now we can safely rule Rafa out but Martinez? There are only 2 suitable vacancies for him if he wants to come back to the prem. us and Everton. Now if Everton really wanted him why haven't they made the move already? If we genuinely are prepared to go all in for him then I think he's ours. How true the information from chorlton is I don't know but it sounds plausible to me. The source has some good contacts. I was amazed it wasn't already a done deal, as i always thought if pulis went, it would only be for a guaranteed step up in credentials, but the express article and the lack of anyone on twitter committing themselves to a single name, Dorsett for example, suggest that we don't have a man signed sealed and waiting to start. Really don't want Hughes.

If Coates junior and The Cartwright Gang want to create some sexy little continental model with some suave, "young and dynamic" tracksuit coach, there are more obvious fits than Hughes.
I can't work out what's going on.

It's quite possible the club are holding on for a couple of days to see if any unexpected high profile managers apply, It will be surprising the people who will apply to manage Stoke given we are financially secure, 3rd highest net spenders in the Prem for the past 5 years and kept our last manager 7 years. We will be an attractive proposition to a lot of high quality managers, I'm sure.

I'm thinking Martinez with Neville as a assitant manager/defensive coach might be on our minds

RDM has the modern manager look about him and wouldn't demand too much.
That said Rafa is the more complete package and has superb experience and contacts.
Hughes seems an if all else fails signing.

OddsWonder where this Hughes momentum is coming from in the betting? He hasn't really been strongly linked as such? In terms of percentage price change on betfair Martinez is the other big mover, matched at 50/1 when the market opened and matched as low as 9/1 over night.
