You don't need to see a player, to make an informed judgement, if he is constantly injured, which is my concern. Not just niggles, either, in Pilkington's case, as with Palacios. Will we ever learn?

It probably happened on one of your handbag swinging attention seeking resignations from this messageboard 1or 2What I do remember vividly is you telling everyone on here that Pennant had been dropped from the 25 man squad and passing it off as FACT , when in fact it was complete bollocks. It's not the only time you have done such a thing only to go missing. Don't worry Peter , your petty attention seeking agenda is well documented. H  The Pulis toleration rate for out of town Stokies must be around the 80% level. It's not a criticism of any kind it is an interesting thought. I have theories but it would be interesting to know from the out of town lads themselves why they make up quite a large majority of the believers "on 'ere". |

Personal thought maybe - but if out of town you are likely to be older, therefore likely to have been here before. Perhaps also away from the wise guys, trying to make a name for themselves in the workplace. I also notice the same problem on this board, by the few and hangers on, who try to dominate by intimidation, example RAF.

I get all that owde except the agenda stuff. Sorry but I dont see the thousands clearly pissed off with the two seasons of deterioration being people walking round with a chip on the shoulder as suggested. The football on view is awful for the largest part and it comes down to a personal view on whether you think it is acceptable or not given the circumstances of the club, surely? Then you can add into the mix an opinion on the longer term future of the club and whether or not you trust Pulis to deliver what is required or not. Less people will factor this in but plenty do. I think the use of the word agenda is misplaced and rather lame to be honest. It's often used when people can't back up their argument with anything else. Just my view. |

Well said that man - if only I could have put that in writing, I would have been proud. Every one has had their doubts in recent weeks yes. This board in the past has led to many great moments in our recent history - the power of the crowd in our first years and staying behind at our Wembley defeat spring to mind immediately. Like you say the few and their personal objectives and the quietness of previous strong posters are playing their part in demoralising manager, players, and fans.
This board has been more realistic in the last few days - I think the majority are starting to raise their opinion and shout down the egotistical few and their hanger on - RAF must have gone to bed (EDIT - no he hasn't, still his egotistical self)

The "the football on view" has without doubt been truly awful in 2013, there is absolutely no grounds for debate on that. I do however try (in spite of the deep frustrations) try to identify and consider the possible reasons for such a decline especially after the Liverpool game and the fighting spirit shown against Southampton.
It's easy to post about square pegs in round holes, play JP, Pulisball, Hoof tactics, dissect every comment, rubbish ex players etc.
There are lots of posters on here blaming the manager for splitting the fans, in my humble opinion there are a number of posters ( who have personal agendas against TP ) on here who have done more to split the fans than TP has ever done, but hey it's a message board.
I'm middle of the road and have been for over fifty years, been up and been down watching SCFC. I'm. Up at the moment!!

Back on topic briefly: I know we've played Norwich a few times since they got promoted, but I'm not sure who Anthony Pilkington actually is.
I picture him to look like Anthony from the Royle Family, who I once saw playing in a charity match on Sky with Robbie Williams and John Parrott.
I hope TP isn't in for John Parrott too.

There are many who are unimpressed by TP and make valid comment without vitriolic abuse and that is what IMHO is totally OK, after all it's all about opinions that makes this message board.
However you as a regular poster will have seen a small group of posters who have, and will continue to "rubbish" everything the manager says or does, they are on some form of self crusade to try and hound out TP even if it adversely effects the whole club If successful the same will find a new target within time and start their campaigning again......personal egotistical agendas

Would he replace Shotton, Walters or Jerome on the wing and is he any better than Jermaine Pennant (obvious personal vendetta with Pulis aside). yes is the answer to all those questions I see there is a huge list of clubs after JP oh there isnt....why is that? Surely the ONLY reason he has been ousted is because of TP's (unfair) vendetta? No? plenty of reasons to to complain about TP,JP isnt one of them (not replacing him is mind...) & neither is looking to sign good players like Pilkington. If Kightly cannot get into the side then what chance would Pilkington when Pulis persists with non-right wingers playing in that role.
