Mate, we must be looking abroad too. Remy, Ba, Popov, Cornelius. It will happen. Sometimes there is a danger we are always looking for another stick to beat the manager with.
Newcastle have proved there are also risks with players from European leagues adapting to the physicality of the Prem too, so it's back to the quality of the player, not where he's from.

Planning for the Championship. Pilkington can't get in the Norwich team and Hunt gets relegated with every club he's been to. Small time thinking. I did wonder why Pilkington wasn't in their team on Saturday? Hasn't he been playing much football recently? And you can only hope Noel Hunt is a late April Fools Day joke. The rumbling link with Jedinak at Palace isn't one to thrill either. In fact, the three of them don't seem to be the types on any potential hitlist of Cartwright. See Soares, Tongue, etc etc etc. Waste of the Family's money.

Excellent! Nice quiff. I love the line in the article which says we have "suffered in the wide department" Why would Norwich sell him? Of course the real good news in this article is this "STOKE CITY manager Tony Pulis is lining up a summer move ". After all why would Tony Pulis be lining up anything in the summer if he wasn't going to be around Helps if you read the full article and not just the parts you wish to see However, after a brush with relegation, there remains a degree of uncertainty about the future of Pulis and changes to the scouting system at Stoke are being implemented that could impact on his recruitment plans.

Surely the title of the thread should be 'Bejaysus wept' ? I thought he looked decent at the start of the season.Injuries I guess have limited his appearances. But TP flogs wide men to death so why go for someone who has dodgy hammies? Nontheless surely there are better wide option in the whole of Europe. p.s. Loved the comment about TP buying more irish players to increase our luck! Class

I like Pilkington - we could do worse whoever the manager is next season. The big question would be, are his injuries behind him? Pretty much agree. But im a little more worried It's another gamble on injury prone players..i mean, there's only so many we can get on one bench....although we did spot Ba's exploding knee so we do know our stuff. I'm hoping for a bit more reliability......there's a big world out there stoke.

Jesus wept? He's a good player. The problem is why we've waited so long to pay millions for a player who we scouted when he was at Stockport and Huddersfield and available for far less!?

To be fair would've been a shitter for Liam, loses Stoke spot to Pennant then loses his spot in the Ireland team to him!

Fuck me, if Pilkington and Noel Hunt are Pulis's/the club's idea of big changes in the summer then we are in for a right hiding.
Pilkington is in and out of the Norwich side and would always be backup to Walters and Shotton in a Pulis team and as for Noel Hunt......fuck, he cannot even get into a shite Reading team.
If this is Pulis's proposed transfer handywork then he needs getting rid of. Big changes yes, but Hunt and Pilkington are no better than what we have as it just smells of Tonge and Soares all over again.

Just fuck off Pulis you fucking prick. It's a newspaper article with no quotes, no source, and probably no basis at all except perhaps Pilkington's agent trying to start rumours. No need to be a cunt about it.

Good player we desperatly need wingers unless there is some horrendous injury problem I don;t see why so may are moaning. Yeah he's a winger but that means not a lot in a Pulis side. Would he replace Shotton, Walters or Jerome on the wing and is he any better than Jermaine Pennant (obvious personal vendetta with Pulis aside).

Surely the ONLY reason he has been ousted is because of TP's (unfair) vendetta? No? plenty of reasons to to complain about TP,JP isnt one of them (not replacing him is mind...) & neither is looking to sign good players like Pilkington.
