Mental if true. He wont't be worth anything in the summer and Redknapp won't want him then anyway whether he keeps QPR up or whether he takes them down. There's not another manager in the Prem who would pay £5 million for Crouch, indeed there probably isn't another manager in the Prem would would want Crouch (at anywhere near that price) bar Harry Redknapp, erm, today.

I'm staggered. Hard to see much happening here today now, Shea and possibly Butland aside? Unless he takes the mental view that KJ is more expendable at the same kind of price. Crazy from Pulis

Turned down straight chas because we were holding out for Mackie - or someone else?
John Percy: "QPR have returned with a £5m bid for Peter Crouch this morning but it has been turned down by Stoke. Understand Stoke were keen on taking a QPR player as part of the deal but it was a straight cash offer. Stoke do not expect QPR to come back in so at this moment in time it looks ike Crouch will be staying."

Hoillet? SWP? Surely we'd have it in the bag already if it were Mackie. He seems expendable to QPR, with all the rumours around him. I refuse to say Zamora...

I'd take £5 million for Crouch without Mackie, Hoilett etc

twitter.com/wayneveyseyWayne Veysey @wayneveysey There is still strong interest from #QPR in the two Peters - Crouch & Odemwingie. More likely to be one rather than both players.

Transfer news: Harry Redknapp does not think Peter Crouch will be swapping Stoke for QPR today.
The 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to Loftus Road, where he plied his trade during the 2000/01 season.
Crouch has previously worked with Redknapp at Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham but it looks like he will be remaining in the Potteries.
Speaking to Press Association Sport outside QPR’s Harlington training ground, Redknapp said on Crouch: “No, I don’t think anything there [is happening with him]. It is very quiet.”

Free The Crouch One!
Phil McNulty @philmcnulty Peter Crouch would be very happy to move from Stoke to QPR - but at the moment no deal and time is running out. #bbctransfernews

Looks like we've ballsed this one right up. Hoilett in p/ex for Odemwingie seems to be a goer according to Lepkowski
Chris Lepkowski @chrislepkowski
Odemwingie to QPR ongoing. The hold-up is over the inclusion of Hoilett & how that particular part of the deal would be structured #wba Expand
