There is not a black person alive today in 2012 living in this country that was kept as a slave, abused, raped, degraded or lynched by his 'evil white slave masters' . Not a single one. My nan was a ginger, as are many Scots , my nan has Scottish roots, the Scots were abused, raped, pillaged and lynched by the English many centuries ago, the highlanders were forced from their homes during the highland clearances and their culture and heritage was stolen from them and entire clans were massacred by government troops so does that mean my nan should hold a grudge and get offended every time so one says something derogatory about the Scots or about gingers ? White people were kept as slaves during the days of the Roman empire. The Irish suffered during the potato famine, which some say was caused (on purpose) by English landlords. Many thousands of people died of starvation, does that mean Roy Keane is right to have a fit every time some one utters the words 'Irish bastard'. The Welsh were oppressed and raped and pillaged and massacred by the Anglo-Norman invaders, does that mean everyone that calls Pulis a 'Welsh cunt' is some kind of Nazi ? Don't confuse what I am saying. Racism is wrong. Any kind of racism is disgusting, people that insult blacks because they are black are out of order, white racists that chant racist things at the footy are out of order and I condemn them, but who are you or anyone else to say that a fat person who was bullied and mocked and ridiculed all his life for being 'fat' doesn't have the right to be as 'offended' as a black person in 2012 Britain for being called a racist name ? The fat person is question might not be fat because he 'ate all the pies', he might have a serious medical condition. All insults are wrong but I don't think you can say one is any worse than the other. In some cases there are arguments to say that calling a black person the 'N' word is worse than calling Kitson a 'ginger twat' and I would agree IN SOME CASES, but not always. You, nor I nor anyone else has the right to dictate who is right or wrong for getting offended by what they get offended by. You're opinion is you're opinion mate and I respect your right to an opinion, same goes for everyone else that will no doubt have a go because of this reply but I really couldn't give a monkeys toss. I have heard all the arguments time and time again from people who agree with your train of thought but I stand by what I say, and I make no apologies for it. I'm sure I won't change your mind and I'm sure as hell you won't change mine, so as far as I'm concerned I am happy to agree to disagree on this particular subject ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) agree to disagree rlc (and may i say that despite me disagreeing with you, you put forward your argument in a far more constructive and thought out way than most do on here) Thats the way it should be done mate. Surely there is now enough evidence to conclude that both Platini and Blatter condone this behaviour. Indeed Momo. Blatter presumably believes they should all just shake hands and forget it. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/cj7bsBj2jOTuEAUVaPt5.gif) aren't monkey chants a term of endearment in Serrbia?

It is disgusting, we are all as one on this planet nobody is any greater than another, I have black friends and I also have large friends whoose taunts of 'fat bastard' destroy their confidence & social life but it's socially acceptable. It comes to something when people have to try and put people down. Who the fuck are they do put another down?Fucking scum. I agree. Its disgraceful that people form such an opinion of hatred based solely upon either what they look like or at times what job they do. All forms of such abuse directed at other people should be treated the same Stewards at Stoke are utter utter Wankers (please note the capital W). There will be a riot one day because of these human pieces of scum. Obviously Yogi has decided that "wankers" and "scum" are not insults but a valid statement of opinion! ;D Quite right. 'Dirty lying bastard' is also deemed ok as a general sweeping statement of stewards, I assume thats because he didnt mention their weight or hair colour. Cant wait for the next refereeing decision to go against us. I'm going to get a chant of 'The referee's a male, averagely weighted, short dark hair (with a hint of grey) non JCB working wanker'. I'll probably get a hefty ban coz its basically the same as being racist

Taken from the BBC Website: Serbian FA denies any racism towards England playersThe Serbian FA has denied there was any racism towards the England Under-21 team in Tuesday's Euro 2013 play-off. ... ... But the Serbian FA said there was a "spirit of fair play on the pitch and in the stands". Hmmmm, very interesting.

I found this bit interesting...
After reviewing CCTV footage, we can confirm that Danny Rose was merely acknowledging a very fat man in the Serbian crowd, appearing to mockingly congratulate him on how fat he was.
The Serbian FA therefore support the campaign that has now been started in England for Danny Rose to be fined and banned. Mr Y Bear from Stoke on Trent, an ex JCB worker claimed 'Just because this person was fat doesnt mean Danny Rose can make fun of him'

no difference at all, whatsoever!!! in fact i remember my grandparents telling me stories about how fat people were herded into slavery, abused, raped, degraded and lynched with entire townships and villages wiped out, invaded and pillaged simply because of the size of their waist lines.....yep, just the same There is not a black person alive today in 2012 living in this country that was kept as a slave, abused, raped, degraded or lynched by his 'evil white slave masters' . There's pointing out and mocking a feature of a person (which, don't get me wrong, is still horrible) - and then there's pure racism designed to follow in the tradition of oppressing another fellow human being.

Chav these days is quite often used by snobs when referring to the working classes in general. Same rule applies for ginger etc. No one chooses to be ginger, but some ginger people are picked on and laughed at and bullied at school for having ginger hair, they leave school with no confidence and low self esteem. There was 1 mixed race kid in my year at school, to my knowledge he never got any racist abuse directed at him, his race as never been an issue, it hasn't effected his confidence. Fast forward 20 years and get the bullied ginger kid (now and adult) in a room and get the mixed race person in the same room. Call the ginger a ginger twat and call the other a black twat...who is going to be more 'offended' ? Bottom line is every situation is going to be different. Some times a racial slur is worse and some times it isn't as bad and sometimes its the same, it all depends on who the victim is and how the victim chooses to take it.

I'm working class, I choose not to dress like a chav and don't 'behave' like one either. Simples. Whilst we're making sweeping generalisations, you have to 'work' to be 'working class' in my opinion. Too often scroungers and serial benefit cheats get labelled 'working class'. Balls, you have to 'work' to get that title. Underclass. Anyways, so..,if you get a very laid back black man who is called a n***** and doesn't mind that is not as bad as a case, Where a very sensitive insecure fat, ginger person gets called copper bollocks... I'm yet to be convinced.

You can chose what class you are born into can ya ? ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/cj7bsBj2jOTuEAUVaPt5.gif) Some people are called chav regardless of whether they are one or not. I am also from a working class background and come from a family that always staunchly voted Labour (before they sold the working classes down the river) and I never dressed like a chav or acted like a chav and I have always worked for a living, I had 2-3 part time jobs whilst I was at uni, but that wouldn't stop certain people from calling me OR you a chav in today's society, simply because of our working class roots. David Beckham, Jordon, etc are multi millionaires , they don't sit in bus stop shelters drinking White Lightening Cider and abusing OAP's going about their daily business, but even they have been called chavs because of their working class backgrounds and because of their 'bling' in the Tabloids. The point I was making was that if some poor kid from a working class background is called a chav and ridiculed in the national media and made a mockery of for no other reason than his social status, that , TO HIM, is just as offensive as calling a black man the 'N' word. And who is making 'sweeping generalisations' ??? So a ginger kid who is bullied because of the colour of his hair (which he can't help) and gets called a ginger twat, which knocks his confidence and effects his social skills, is in your words 'very sensitive' ? .. So are we safe to assume that you also apply that same logic to Danny Rose's reaction last night and you also accuse him of being 'very sensitive' or is that different 'because he is black' I also notice that you mock the subject of 'ginger bullying' by trying to be comical with your 'copper bollocks' comment, whilst also noticing that you didn't find it appropriate to mock 'black bullying' (racism). I would call you a hypocrite but I don't want to go down the name calling route ;D

I have monkey ears like Peter Reid, I have some banter around it. I don't regard it as being as bad as racism. Racism is worse than 'fatism' 'gingerism' 'bigearism' 'chavism' etc. in my opinion.
