Dear friends, I am not often here now, but Stoke is a very special club for me (you know it very well) and I know so many of you. Now I am here to say thank you very much for real support from the UK to my country, Ukraine. You know the situation. It is a war. russia must be stopped. Yes, they don't treat the UK, Germany or France as equals, they don't even think your leaders are worth talking to. putin believes only the USA and China are real rivals for him. I dont know you personally Den but know how welcome you and your friends made fellow Stokies on our adventure into Europe. I followed this thread and know that a number of you have become friends across the miles. Something magnificent that came from a love of football and people who were wanting to embrace an experience and instead of pointless fighting embrace each others cultures and make the world a smaller, friendlier place. We are undoubtedly in troubled times. Many things that have happened around the globe these last two years seem to have emboldened some leaders who have embraced the opportunity to gain more control and power. I really hope that you and your friends and family stay safe Den.

Good to hear from you Den. Watching this situation unfold from a distance is bad enough, but it must be especially scary for you in Ukraine. Hopefully sufficient pressure can be brought to bear on Putin so that he stops this madness before it escalates too far.

Very sad to see the events unfold in Ukraine. I hope all citizens stay safe and a diplomatic resolution can be found.
Given all the "dirty" Russian money that has flowed into London's financial institutions, I sincerely hope the government does the right thing and confiscates this money and promptly sends it to Ukraine to help the struggle.
