Our reserves won in Europe last night. Slightly better opposition than Notts County. WD I was just about to make this point but wasn't sure what conclusions to make, Do we not take Europe seriously? Do we just play reservists against oposition even they should beat? If Steve Bruce had done it would Disco think Steve Bruce was trying to intentionally get rid of a distraction? Are Notts County better than FC Thun? |

I think we'll struggle to argue either way with the FC Thun vs Notts County debate.
FC Thun are in Europe and the second best team in Switzerland. Notts County are better than Sunderland first team(with a few reserves).
Is League 2 comparable to the Swiss top league? What you can say for sure is that they get slightly bigger crowds which doesn't say much but maybe they can afford slightly better players?
