First hero was Stan, But the pairing of Jimmy Greenhoff and Denis Smith was mouth watering.

I remember waiting outside the ground in the 80's for the lads to finish training. It was pissing down with rain and out came Chambo. He let me sit in his car while he signed my book. Legend

Jimmy Greenhoff, without doubt.
Heard him on the radio this morning talking about Saturday and brought to mind some fantastic goals of his . Best forward never to play for England?

Harry Burrows, to be supplanted by Jimmy Greenhoff when he joined. No one has ever come close to Greenhoff since, and as I get older the glasses get more rose tiinted:)

Agree with mumf. Greenhoff was and still is in my opinion the best striker to have played in the red and white stripes. LEGEND ! I did meet up with Bertie Biggins on holiday in Portugal about 10 yrs ago and went for a drink with him and his family. He was a top bloke and a real good laugh.

Jimmy Greenhoff....Was my first...my last ...my everything... RIP Barry white. That song was in the charts when we went top of the league in the Greenhoff era.

Impossible to just choose one - for me Hudson and Greenhoff, they were magnificent - but if I was really pushed I'd have to go for Hudson.

When I was growing up I always wanted to be this man. I was captain of my school footy team in the juniors. Arise Sir Jimmy Greenhoff.
