I'd prefer Tom Cleverly.

Hes only going to get better.

Rather a swap for Beattie and Kitson, would be a big step backwards though if it was for Tuncay

No, march, no! Beattie and some bugger else maybe but not Tunny. And Kitson would never move up there imo.

Kits would certainly not go. BT and Lawrence might be a decent bet for the swap.

I think it was, if we can bring in better midfielders, who CAN pass the ball to feet, maybe a couple of passing full backs, Tuncay would be an good asset to us, especially against the poorer teams in the league. If he went in a swap, we'd be getting a very poor deal in my oppinion.

We can only swap a player they will actually want.

If he went in a swap, we'd be getting a very poor deal in my oppinion. You can look at it two ways. On the one hand, assuming Tunny wants to stay and we want to keep him, he may yet, with a full pre-season, turn out to be an asset and part of the mythical "Plan B" to try and break away from us being so relentlessly one dimensional. On the other, do you really see Pulis doing that? There's every likelihood Tuncay won't fit in any better next season than he has this. We don't score enough goals, and Carroll arguably has the potential to be the goalscoring target man we're crying out for in our rigid system. I can see either argument to be honest.

regarding tunny would they want to pay his wage demands ?? Good point, but Tuncay might be reasonable if he still has links in the north East.

I do love how TP is whinging about wankers in the squad and the 2 of our main targers appear to be Carroll and Pennant. ;D

Maybe we could do a double raid on the Geordies and sign Steven Taylor too. That would certainly put a cat amongst the pigeons.
Just imagine getting rid of Sonko and Beattie (arguably 'worth' about £60K a week in wages) for one of the hottest English strikers around?! Sounds good to me.

I'm not a great fan of Taylor. His positioning is piss poor and gets him into a hell of a lot of trouble.

The reference to Taylor was very tongue in cheek Jamie. Wouldn't want him. I'm rapidly thinking that Carroll would be a superb acquisition though.

Good! Carroll is an ideal Pulis striker. He wins everything in the air and I think if TP gets the opportunity he'll sign him.

A swap for Tuncay would make some sense Bayern. I'd certainly rather see Carroll starting for us with Mama on the bench than to see Mama starting for us with Tuncay on the bench.
