Have to say that these two would have perfect for us and EXACTLY the two types of player we desperatley need. Charlton will take one of the auto places in my opinion. Over to you Tone.

Lets hope he has a crash on his way to training and has minor injuries but enough to keep him out for 3 months.

How many does he want?
Mardew's trying to buy promotion through sheer weight of quality and expenditure. If one doesn't work, he's quickly moving on to another. He's brought in a shedload of players.
Fair play to him. He realises it's s**t or bust at this stage.

The worrying thing is that whilst our opposition are collecting strikers we are busy shawing up our defences (Nash, Riggott)

Fair play to Charlton, great signing. Very suprised Reading have let him go though, considering their position in the league.... ??? ??? Let's hope his tantrums and trouble making carries on for Charlton hey M

I know yeah were bringing in a few more defenders and leaking alot of goals but we arnt getting strikers ourselves is this a concern? I personally think the defence will sort it out they have just had a rocky couple of matchs we will bounce back with a big win and then that will be it.

Quality signing.
For all his moaning, Pard-arse knows which way is up; he can't be criticised for not going for it.
As above, over to you Tone (& Peter).

Let's hope he isn't match fit, though bet Pardew wished he'd had him one day earlier. What a hypocrite the man is! Said on Monday (re the week-end) that he'd brrought on two big subs (including Iwelumo) as "you need tall forwards in this division"!!!!!!!! So its OK now, then? Also, just been reading the Baggy match reports and they were apparently outplayed. So what happened to the Brazil tendencies there then?

Calm down Monica dear Lita good signing but if reports are true a very hard player to handle off the pitch- certainly add a spark to Charlton but they do seem to have a surplus of similar players. Not a bad situation to be in though.

Didn't they spend £1.5m on Andy Gray as the "final piece in their jigsaw" last month?
Sinclair and Lita must be the FINAL, FINAL pieces?
Good old Pardew. Salvation is always one signing away. They ahve got a bloody frightening squad on paper though.

Charlton are no great shakes. I saw them play Sheff U last weekend and they play much the same as every other Championship side, with Big Chris vital as a hold up man. Sinclair was anonymous for the 20 minutes he was on the park, didn't touch the ball once.

Andy Reid was instrumental for Charlton, and he was sold from underneath Pardew.
You can have all the quality fucking forwards in the world, but if you have no means of getting the ball to them then you are stuffed. Pardew would kill for Liam Lawrence right now.
This was always going to happen. We have to just hold our nerve.

Shit, I hate Pardew even more know. What a bastard!, Leroy Lita is a quality striker and would of loved him at the Brit. Never knew there was any chance of someone getting him in Champ level. Charlton are looking ferking dangerous right now and have a better squad, in my opinion, than Brazil. Shit if we blow the Auto I seriously wouldn't want them in the Playoffs, although I hear Pardew only has Lita for four weeks

Bit of a double whammy for them....both very good players at this level and although I think auto is too far away for them...they would be my bet for play off winners if the new signings fire.....although Lita is onlt one month loan...could be back for the end of the season at reading

Firstly, regardless of the rights or wrongs, Lita does not strike me as a "Pulis" type player, so I doubt we were ever in the frame for him, so it's not really a case of "another we have let go".
Secondly though, I can't help developing the feeling that we have been here before. We seem to find it easy to sign certain kinds of players, but seem to have problems getting strikers in. I'm really hoping that it's not a case that we do not want a front-man and believe that Fuller and Mama can do the job needed.
Like it or not, whilst we clearly need to shore up at the back, if we score even more goals than we do now, we'd win more games. The volume of chances we create is phenomenal, and a decent goal-scorer alongside Fuller would see us up.
