Even though poor in the first half we still hit the bar and then the post and in the second half apart from the offside goal I thought we were the better team. QPR were at their very best today we were no where near. That for me is the encouragement that makes me think that as soon as we kick back in with anything near decent form then we WILL get promoted.

Knype always comes out with the abuse line when he knows he's wrong. The ref was apalling and with 11 men on the pitch then surely we would have stood alot better chance! ???

A lot has come out today's game. If we are to progress out of this league then some hard thinking has got to be done at Britannia towers this week. In no particular order:
- Diao was woeful today. He looked either uninterested or unfit or more worryingly today-- both. Yet he was seen as the saviour to all our midfield problems. In my mind this is the worst midfield performance we've seen this season. - We don't seem to get through 20 minutes of a game at the moment without being 2 goals down-- why? We allowed QPR to just wander up our goal unchallenged today. Where has the "bully-boy" Stoke gone to. Bullies my arse... QPR had the run of the midfield today without even being politely asked to get out of the way. Dreadful pressure when needed most. - We still don't seem to know what our best team is. Dicko had a great game against Ipswich (I didn't go Preston) and yet is dropped (was unfit/suspended). Pugh cannot defend--- and Buxton immediately looked a better option--who'd have thought? Diao shouldn't start and I'm not altogether sure about Griffin either--- regardless of the ludicrous red.
We need to get back to what made this side great. Currently it's a punchbag living off the drunk celebrations of being top for roughly 8 days. We can't seem to stick to a team even though players are not suspended or unfit. We pick players that clearly aren't on the top of their game (Sidebe/Diao) when better options are plainly available.
Sort it out Tone! It's playoff or worse otherwise. Before Griffin was sent off today we looked a well beaten team.

I think Knype makes a perfectly valid point.
It wasn't down to the ref that we were being played off the park and were second to every ball.
It was down to him that our chances of putting the situation right in the second half were all but blown away by a decision of an individual who not only does not understand the rules of the game (as he frequently demonstrates) but cannot properly interpret the spirit of Fifa etc directives on "lunging" for the ball.
We have only ourselves to blame for again setting ourselves up for a slapstick performance where we give the opposition goals start.

I saw no clear penalties for either side. 1st half - Ball hits top of QPR players left arm. QPR player completely innocent..made no attempt to prevent the ball from passing him, hands/arms stayed down by his side at all times. Ref got it right..no pen. 2nd half - possible nudge in the back at the far post from Wilko. This had more potential to be given than ours but to me it was just another routine challenge in the box the like of which you see dozens of times in a game. Ref was well positioned and again, I think, got it right. Can not recall the 2nd penalty claim that people seem to think QPR had.

Ignore the penalty bullshit from BBM's other half-anything for a reaction. The pair of them tossing off to each other and Mike Newell photos as we speak.
With this side despite how poor we were I did expect us to give it all second half as we are capable of doing- have come back against far better sides
However, the ridiculous sending off put pay to that and a clearly offside goal- yes I agree the TV doesn't lie.
