He's simply a scapegoat at this point. New coaching and new players will not fix this. The problem lies elsewhere. But we are worse than before he's totally toss Only because we aren't sitting back, AN realised pretty quickly that they aren't much use at anything, SS seems to have sussed it too but knows we badly need the points given where we are so can't afford to sit back in every game.

The standard of Iversen really highlights that Bonham isnāt as bad as some believe. Iversen was supposed to be some sort of rock star goalkeeper. Heās let in more than heās saved today yet again. For me this season Bonham has been a decent keeper. Iversen like Travers isnt any better. Travers was much much better.

So, so poor. Schumacher may get the bullet, but why are the players casually stroking it around with so much at stake? Bunch of scores, the lot of 'em. Probably because the manager can't motivate them to play Or they just aren't very good.

heās got to take a lot of responsibility regarding the mess weāre in , most were his recommendations, heās surely got go as well We're guessing most though aren't we, Hoever, Johnson, Rose, Jr, Gooch probably weren't, after that it's guess work for the most part, just because they're from overseas doesn't automatically mean it was down to him but even then there's two other people above him that actually make the decision.

And I also find it appaling that considering he's a stats man how on earth he didn't do a simple Google search on Mmaee which would have revealed he had issues at nearly every club he's been at before and should have never recommended him either. All 3 of the clowns who fucked up the summer rebuild in such a massive way should be sacked and he's the only one still standing. Does being a twat come under stats š¤š

Junior and Gooch were surely AN signings. Gooch definitely....why Tchamadeau? Neil would be far more likely go the Enda Stevens/Johnson signing way...experience, passive, offers nowt I think he mentioned we were trying to sign him previously in the Jan before Jared came in.

You're telling me you think that any other ex-pro, people would be looking at someone who did 6 months at Fleetwood Town and going "Yeah, that's the kind of experience we're after. Let's have some of that" Genuinely? If that ex-pro had spent half of his career in the Premier League and had more than 50 caps for his country, yes I think people would generally be willing to give them a chance for an interim appointment like this. I'd rather someone with solid experience not someone picked because he used to play for the club, but as it's interim so it hopefully won't really matter.

Can I ask, what makes you think that? Going off purely his football management side he'd be awful, he had a set way of playing and didn't sign the right type of players for it (putting aside their ability), that doesn't scream out that he'd be capable of coming up with a long term strategy and implementing it properly. That statement alone should damn the rest of your comment. Personally,I think he would be a very good appointment, if we could get him. Working in very difficult circumstances he got 60 and 62 pts in his 2 seasons. Brought on young players like Souttar and Collins and brought in players like Philogene, Harwood Bellis and Doughty among others. He was an intelligent man which might prevent him from coming back. We need someone like him who knows about football not some spoofer. Hodgson would be great if we could get him. Some people on here think it is very easy to get a good DOF. Look at the way Brighton's staff are being targeted by the big clubs who aren't happy with the people they already have. One must assume that they made the wrong appointment, the last time they signed one. We now have Superstar Players and Managers, but how many DOF could you name? No it shouldn't, he wanted to play with wingbacks and one up front and didn't sign the type of players that could play it. Edu seems to be doing a good job at Arsenal tbf but tbh im not the biggest fan of the set up, it leaves it ambiguous as to where the blame lies, or at least it seems to in our version.

Do people actually think Martin has been picking the team? Nobody knows for sure but of all those rumours flying around that one was the most plausible. But we will never know if it was true or not. Clearly he wasn't liked by a lot of people though and his sacking was long overdue It's pretty obvious the rumours were bullshit, not a chance he's been having any say in the 11 being picked for matches.

MON should never have left and should have moved up stairs to DOF. seems made for that role Can I ask, what makes you think that? Going off purely his football management side he'd be awful, he had a set way of playing and didn't sign the right type of players for it (putting aside their ability), that doesn't scream out that he'd be capable of coming up with a long term strategy and implementing it properly.

I don't, they're in a league that will give them better exposure, as long as they perform they'll be fine, and I'm sure the pay rise helps. Burger was playing in Switzerland and playing champions league footballā¦Bae was a rising star in his homeland and had other offers on the tableā¦if they werenāt regretting it they need their heads looking at. I donāt think the money comes into it tbh. Money always comes into it, if where they were was so good it's the only reason they would have moved.

Nah, Tymons crap, we just didn't sign a replacement. Tymon's a good Championship player. On the occasions we've played well over the past few years, he's regularly been one of our standout performers. Even great players can look crap in a poor team. They can, you're right but he wasn't one and was part of the issue, he was useless as a left back. It was right to move him on but not to replace him with what I thought would be the back up to a first choice signing.

It was but itās what we needed, clearly. It wasnāt. QPR were shit. Itās pathetic cowardice. It's being realistic, the squad isn't good enough for anything else and it's a stretch to say good.

"We probably sold the dream to Burger n Bae n this is where theyāre at" In a better place than before we signed them. I actually doubt that mate I don't, they're in a league that will give them better exposure, as long as they perform they'll be fine, and I'm sure the pay rise helps.

If we stay up (and I think we will), last summer will have worked out alright I think. Apart from Pearson (who will hopefully find form again), contracts have been sensible. There's no way every signing was going to come off. The biggest issues have been the outgoings. Travers was a big loss, as was Brown. We should've kept Tymon. Nah, Tymons crap, we just didn't sign a replacement.

Just got to thinking about the optimism n good feeling we had only 6 months or so backā¦weād got a proven championship manager to steady the ship, a complete squad overhaul with exotic names and exciting videos of the new players in action, weād restructured with tricky n slickly coming inā¦the media side of things had improved with insights into all the new players n we genuinely had the feeling we were moving in the right directionā¦fast forward 6 months to this n itās like a different club all together, itās fucking shocking!!! We probably sold the dream to Burger n Bae n this is where theyāre atš¤¦š¼āāļø for the first time in years im genuinely embarrassed to be Stoke, the rot has well n truly set in quite quickly with this lot n thatās alarmingā¦Iāve got no confidence in them knuckling down n getting us out of this messā¦theyāre all a bit flakey arenāt theyš¤·š¼ā¦itās painful to watchš“āŖļø "We probably sold the dream to Burger n Bae n this is where theyāre at" In a better place than before we signed them.

When we're having to use Wesley and start Lowe I'd say we definitely are weaker, Mmaee offers more than both of them as things stand. does he , if so itās only slightly Slightly could make the difference.

The only thing Iād say is that Mmaee isnāt the first difficult player. Arni had a reputation before he joined us and Iām sure thereās others that have been difficult. Weāre not in a situation where we can freeze players out when the alternatives are so poor. Itās all good having morals but not if weāre a weaker unit for it. Are we any weaker without Mmaee though? He has been extremely underwhelming - and that is being polite. Barring the Birmingham away game (where I thought that he played really well) he has barely contributed. For context, Jordan Thompson has scored one less goal in the league than Mmaee despite being primarily a substitute before being shunted into a makeshift left back. When we're having to use Wesley and start Lowe I'd say we definitely are weaker, Mmaee offers more than both of them as things stand.
