Are you for real? Hughes has fucked the club up big style just by the expensive garbage of expensive signings alone. Never seen such a pile of utter shite signings in a lifetime of supporting us. We lost away to Coventry in Hughes last game FCS. Lambert has steadied the ship despite having a the left overs what Hughes has left. And accrued less points in 6 games against the same opposition. How is that steadying the ship exactly? Hughes was garbage, playing a centre forward at right back and buying a waster from Smethwick along with a whole host of talentless footballers. Worst manager this football club have EVER had and has most probably ruined us for a long time coming

Well we're now in the bottom two, despite the easiest run of fixtures of the season. We're in this shite because of Cretins like you supporting Hughes despite his record of being a shite manager. Now you predictably and the likes of you are sticking the knife in at every opportunity.

He’s an improvement on Hughes, but not enough of one. How exactly is he an improvement on Hughes? With a fully fit squad to choose from he's got less points from the same 6 fixtures as Hughes managed earlier in the season. Lambert is no improvement on Hughes at all. He's equally as crap, at the very best. I'd say he's even worse. Lambert has a fully fit squad and 3 new players v the ex manager and has produced worse results. Only at stoke could that be seen as an improvement. Are you for real? Hughes has fucked the club up big style just by the expensive garbage of expensive signings alone. Never seen such a pile of utter shite signings in a lifetime of supporting us. We lost away to Coventry in Hughes last game FCS. He just has to. He's a pretty awful manager and isn't what we need if we stay up or go down. Massive changes are needed top to bottom and they have to include Lambert. Cretin

Reality is we were playing a side away from home with just as much at stake as us. We came away with a point and the defence was superb. Keep the faith you pansies.

They won't fine you for being a bit over the speed limit but they will for idiots thinking they can drive at whatever speed they want. Trouble is people think they're immune to accidents and by driving at speeds way over the limit. They are not and put other people's lives at risk too. Wankers

Decent side. Good to see Jese back in contention and the fact Berahinogoals isn't wasting a place on the bench. Can't see us losing if they continue the tempo of the last 5 games.

Let's face it Hughes has left us in right mess. Big money signings we're paying a fortune to not even good enough to get in the squad. Fucking scandalous the club left it as late as they did to fire him. Now, from what I've seen there are lots of positives, one defeat in five, defence looks better, stopped shipping in goals, more effort from the players. Even if we stay up, and I think we will, the damage Hughes has done will take a long time to put right.

Good point, fought for every ball. Campbell looked out of his depth though and Adams was not the right sub to bring on.

Lots of pace in that side. We need to match them I doubt any team in the league has as much pace as this Leicester side. Now, we need to beat them with skill, guile, flair and intelligence. Oh, hang on a minute!🙀 Stay upbeat Al, if Swansea can get a draw there than I'm sure we can. We just need to sit back, nulify their threat of not letting them break away. I'm going for an away win.

I agree with most of that but it's also clear the owners must be alarmed about a number of fairly expensive transfers have not worked out. Callum Wilson cost Bournemouth around £3m from Coventry and his PL goals record is 1 in 2.6 games, Berahino cost £12m and hasn't scored for us yet. I would think the Coates family would, or should, be asking just why these sort of failures are taking place. Josh King murdered us for Blackburn in the FA Cup too, as evidence of his ability, and has proven a good PL player at Bournemouth at a reasonable price. At Leicester, Vardy was the steal of the century from the lower leagues, Kante and Mahrez shrewd buys from lowly French teams. Saints went for Van Dijk and Wanyama from Celtic when others waited, got a good couple of years out of both and sold them on for hefty profits. It is only lately that their buy and sell regime has been getting it a bit wrong, but they had a fine run before that. If the Coates family were really asking tough questions about transfer failures, then why are Teflon Tony and the ex-Leek Town reserve keeper still front and centre in our recruitment team? In virtually every other profession, if you failed so catastrophically badly, there is no way you would still be in a job. That is down to the owners. Agree with that, undoubtabley the transfers have cost the club dear. I beleive the main reason that Hughes wasn't allowed to spend last summer was a result of the disasterous signings both permanent and loans of the last two years. On the bright side I've seen enough in the last 4 games that we have enough fight and spirit to stay up. I thought we were desperately unlucky against Brighton not to win and the defence looks miles better. Fingers crossed we can get a win at Leicester.

The vast posters on this thread were singing Hughes praises not too long ago. Our future was put in jeopardy when they needlessly sacked Pulis. I said that at the time.

Berahino is the worst signing I've ever seen in a Stoke shirt in 45 years of supporting and I've seen some shit. He is a passenger in the side and shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. The OP is stupid beyond belief.

What crystal ball have you been looking into because from were i was yesterday we are probably the worst team in the league at the moment. I hate to say this but i think we will struggle to win another game this season & maybe end up like Sunderland in the championship. I disagree, we are not the worst team in this league by a long way. The club made a big big mistake not getting shot of Hughes earlier and those home defeats against Newcastle and West Ham were a hammer blow. However the defence looks ten times better now and we were desperately unlucky not to win on Saturday. Don't throw the towel in yet there's not much in it.

How depressing but I just can't see it. We are terrible. I can't believe it, 10 years in the PL, all that money yet it's come to this. It's nothing short of a scandal. What's more depressing is reading this board and posts like this. We were VERY unlucky not to win yesterday In the end and in the games since Lambert has took over we have looked much better. I'm positive we'll stay up.

Get a grip, the best players on the planet miss penalties. Just rotten luck. Nevermind the performance and effort in the second half was decent enough.

What is more worrying is that Scholes is pulling Lambert's strings about Berahino. He should be nowhere near a the first team yet for the last two games Lambert has brought him on? Part of our current predicament is down to him. I can't help feeling they're telling him to give him game time. No manager in their right mind would include a striker without a goal in 34 hours of play.

I remember that season well but for a sad reason. A very good friend of mine Pete wasn't very well, a cancer had returned. He was fine at the beginning of the season but by Christmas he became ill. We went most of the away games together that season but I phoned him a day or two before that game and he told me he was too ill and wasn't going to make it to the game. I knew it was close to the end then and a few days after the game he passed away. So yeah I was there, we had a great season and we had proper supporters then.
