He can't say anything else, can he? Especially as he claimed not so long ago that this is our best ever squad.

Well he cant come out with the stark staring truth as that would be admitting that we are doomed and that he has royally fucked it all up!

Thanks for your "cocnern" Pete but your optimism seems more like blind faith.
What's the fuss all about?

Could have, would have, should have..... I have no doubt there are twitchy bums now, but it is of their own doing.
This is it, the final weekend for me... we need a result against Leicester, regardless of our form! If we do not then the little glimmer of hope that has appeared these last 24hrs will be gone.

He says if we took the opportunity of three points, it would make the league table look very different... We'd have been in 18th and Southampton in 19th.

“ I don’t think we’ve played badly in any of them”🤔 That's great we be able to go down without playing badly, not winning but not playing badly. That will get them cheering at the BET365 😭😭

It won’t do his health any favours if we go down, cause he can tweet what he likes on a Monday afternoon, after spending all Sunday in the Confessional, but lying awake in bed at 2:30am those football demons of regret will come’a visiting. It won’t be a very good legacy. Hubris 👹

“ I don’t think we’ve played badly in any of them”🤔 This has been the problem all season. A club in denial. We were poor against Watford, outplayed for the most part the same with first half v Brighton. We were shit in the first half against Huddersfield. To address a problem you have to acknowledge a problem.

I think the question for the Chairman is something like this.
We're very likely going down, if its politically inexpedient for him to say that, then fine, but even his own company Bet365 have us down for relegation to the Championship.
If relegation does come about our revenue will be slashed in seasonal increments to about 20% of what it is today.
Additionally we will be taking expensive, unmovable, unplayable, wasters on 5 year contracts in to the Championship, such as Imbula, Wimmer and Berahino.
With that background are the board prepared to continue to fund the operation at the present level for at least as long as it takes to get back and simply take the hit on the difference between our costs and our new much lower revenue?
It's about as far away from the stated aim of being 'self sustaining' as you could possibly be, but anything less and we will be out of the big time for another 24 years or so just like last time.
That's what I would like to ask, if I got just one go.

This is what we've been missing.
Aimless clichés and needless fist pumping.
Way to go Mr Chairman. We've only had an absolute gut full of it so far.

Mustn't it? Someone reassure me.

So he considers it's the players who are responsible for this mess. Telling of his stat e of mind. I'd say in the '5 stages of grief' coates may well be going from denial to anger.

In fairness it must be hard, you are trying to attract someone like Shaq to the club and in doing so you tell him we're a top half operation aiming for Europa football, can you in the same breath tuck in a relegation reduction clause and still secure his signature?
