we always seem to get swansea away in the midweek, just one of those things i guess.... We also always play them at home midweek. It’s because even though it’s miles away we’re actually one of the easier journeys for their fans and most other clubs’s fans would have a harder journey to Swansea than ours. Even though it’s one of our longest away trips of the season it’s one of their shortest. Each team plays a minimum of four midweek home games, often more, and the police insist of early kick off for Swansea v Cardiff so that one’s off the table. Bristol City is the only one that’s vaguely convenient for them so three other spots have to be filled by someone, and at least we’re on the right side of the country. In terms of distance from Swansea in the league (based on Google Maps recommended route not as the crow flies) it goes: Cardiff - 43 miles Bristol City - 81 miles West Brom - 153 miles Birmingham - 154 miles QPR - 185 miles Plymouth - 190 miles Stoke - 192 miles So we can’t really have any complaints. We’re spoiled for away trips. It’s the flipside of the thread the other day about home support being affected by the number of other clubs reasonably close to Stoke. Imagine being a Swansea fan and having only two away games a year that are under a 300 mile round trip. I think we probably have the least travelling to do over a season,if not we are near the top/bottom which way you look at it.

Synthetic drugs such as this are obviously a direct consequence of drug prohibition, this isn't the first and it definitely won't be the last. If the kids in school are using THC vapes they're already breaking the law, again, one of the results of drug prohibition, drug dealers don't require proof of age. I don't think it's that worrying at the moment, it's extremely sad for the one person that's died and their family and friends but to put it into perspective, if past years are any indication, over 1200 people will have lost their lives this year so far, thanks to drug prohibition. At a rate of around 13 per day approximately 5 will have died already today. 4,839 died in 2021, that number will have increased, obviously. What does the average percentage death rate drop to where drugs aren't prohibited, is it a significant drop? I would imagine the data for every drug would be different, some may increase some may decrease.

You have to think of this as a good news story. When the pension age was set to 65 in the 1940's average male life expectancy was 67. So it was just something to keep you in dignity for a couple of years before you turned up your toes. Now we all live to 90 or 95 you can't seriously pay someone an inflation linked income for doing the best part of fuck all for the thick end of 30 long years! Life expectancy has peaked in my opinion, I think that number will start going the other direction now. Mental health shot, cancer diagnosis increasing, more young people getting cancer, health service gone to shit. Those with private health care will do alright but for the rest of us we are heading the opposite direction. Not a good news story at all. With austerity, poverty, plus issues with our national health system and the state of the publics health in general (overweight) like you I am conviced it will start to decline. If is doesnt then theres going have to be some strong drugs and many nurses to look after a poor nation.

Huge game. Tickets only £21 with free coaches.. snap them up Stokies, you know it makes sense! Sold 600 tickets so far apparently. 7 coaches going...... I know its mid week and with shef wed away but I would be disappointed if we didnt make a 1000 its a crucial game for us.

Shader at Underground were very good but also slightly frustrating, great sound, good and loud but not massive stage presence and choice of songs a bit odd,to me omitted a couple of their absolute best songs and then for an encore did a bit of Oasis and one they'd played earlier on . That said, I look forward to seeing them again , shame crowd wasn't bigger last night , Hanley really is quiet of an evening isn't it. Not lived there for about 30 years clearly How many people do you think were at the gig? The gigs in Stoke are extremely poorly attended. Its obvious why groups dont come here much.Apathy has well and truly cemented itself into the Stoke mindset.

Yes. This is the only one that is now sung slowly. But it was brought back by those who last were regulars mid 70s when they returned for the Premier League. We aren't 'the reds'. And I'll never sing for the Reds. The Reds were always the teams I despised as a kid. Every Step could be sung at the correct speed and should be our song. Anyway I'm out the country due to work, so not my place to say. But when I return for games, I always sit it out. And it's toe-curling to hear us sing it. Being the choice of song because it's the only one sung at the right speed should not be the criteria. Its not really nicked from "The Reds" though. Wasnt it a Southampton song, as in " The Saints". But get where u r coming from RE the Reds. Plus our kit is predominantly white. The state of the city is in sums up our support. Its great away but toxic at home and totally apathetic. We sing for two minutes and then when things dont go to plan straight away we are on the players backs. Its as though we are just waiting to moan and and groan all the way through the 90 minutes.

Rise above him mate, anyone who disagrees with his tree hugging ways is a far right racist The usual crew are out with their siege mentality as usual mate and I wouldn’t give them the time of day.You even get some that block you on Twitter and then want to converse with you on here🤔 It would help people to understand where you are coming from if you answered questions people ask ,but you dont you just give out sound bites and cryptic answers.

Well the Under 21's have been playing good football and scoring lots of goals, so hopefully will be a positive move🤞 They lost to Leek town the other night in the Staffs senior cup semi final.

The resolution changes absolutely nothing.Israel does what Israel wants. Indeed but as the piece above says, if it was any other country in the world, then the resolution would be binding and as such, there is no question now that Israel is indeed a pariah state. We will soon snuggle up to them when they have finished doing what they are doing. Same as China and Saudi ,nothing but money talks in this demented world.

I went to Old Trafford last year with work in the boxes and all that shit. When I was there we had a walking tour etc and I was told then that they were going to re-build and increase their capacity to just over 85,000.I did mention to the guide that that will break the long standing record which we (Stoke ) were a part of,in that we hold the record for the highest attendance for an Englsh game , at Main Road. His reply was thats why it going to be over 85,000
