Just had a text from a mate and 75 Cardiff fans came over yesterday and spent the night partying in Hanley ...loads of trouble around town last night, they are all now kicking off in weatherspoons smashing windows and fighting anyone who wants it.
All complete bollocks but I have not seen a stupid post like this for a couple of seasons now so lets have one.....any one else got an imaginary text regarding Cardiff bullshit, feel free to share
Dare say I will here the Chinese whispers tonight regarding this headline from the usual suspects.

Loving this Wrist slasher fest from the oatcake massive!!!
the vocal majority on here wanted change because they wanted a better standard of entertainment...well that's exactly what you are getting, we are going to these away grounds and "having a go" just as everyone wanted with open attacking football, we have taken a 2-0 lead in two of our recent away games where we didn't get nothing under Mr Pulis (although the outcome is still the same of course), so what the fuck you all moaning at, you got what you wanted now back the bloke.
Still our home form will definitely keep us up!!
Fuck me the January window will be interesting, we will need to win that many matches from January to May we would be in a champions league spot if we could have done it from the start of the season
Charlton anyone???

Wolves fans at work reckon he was nothing special when they had him on loan from Chelski, if he was free he was worth signing but any fee and it became a bad deal...allegedly

Just before the Crouch & N'lazy spat Pieters and Arney were having handbags over on the left hand side of the pitch, fuck me I bet the clubs christmas party will be eventful this year with the Characters now at the club combined with the clashes seen yesterday.

Ooooo just seen this on the thread, not heard that slant on it before
Just like Stoke this is NOT the club being generous it is part of the PL directive to help away fans instigated by the FSF. Each club has to allocate a certain amount (£250k iirc) for their travelling fans but it's up to them how they do it.

I don't want to come across as a cruel, unsympathetic, heartless bastard but I'm getting a tadge fucked off with all this inane showering of sympathy that is being foisted up on us at what seems every stoke game, I go to football to escape the humdrum pressures and tribulations of life and once I am in that stadium I want to forget about all the shit & pressure that life & employment brings and get on with enjoying myself, wear a black armband or something if you want to stand out that you are one of life's sensitive caring sorts but fuck this stupid stand up and clap shit off or it will become what it is....Damn fucking annoying and meaningless.

Getting away after the game was as quick as usual using the buses outside the stadium, but before the game was shocking in my opinion, we were stuck on the bus going nowhere from 1545 to 1500ish, the bus in front of us emptied just over the bridge next to the holiday inn it was that chaotic, you must have got there early and missed the anarchy later on. Well getting there at quarter to 4 you would of thought it would be a bit quieter? And waiting nearly a full day???? Good spot Edit...1445

After reading the thread in its entirety I unlike the others think you make a lot of sense and raise a few good points Mr Mancitizan, if or when we do go down I also believe the attendances will drop dramatically, I am unsure they will drop to the figures that you forecast but that's your opinion and you are welcome to it, my estimate would be a drop to 16-18K again only my opinion based on nothing but our recent history, as you quite rightly point out the empty seats are already a concern on the eye but the newness of the Premier league is wearing off and some of the Johnney come latelies are probably moving on (plus a million and one other reasons), the empty seats are probably an even bigger concern for the stoke commercial team, in all fairness the greed that now exists in football with the whole days football package including the ticket prices force out the traditional on the spur of the moment football attendee, my view is that people like the owners of your club are actually adding to this problem with the bottomless pit of money that now exists with the top 6 clubs, the crazy sums of money being banded around such as the recent Bale deal only go to show that the game is being poisoned by money, money that the every day family man just does not have in an impoverished area of the country renowned for its low pay, which brings me on to your next point that also has a bearing on empty seats... you say Stoke is a shit hole, again your spot on with your observations, its a city that's literally on its arse with local industry taking a massive beating due the recent downturn of economics (or greed of the bankers - please your self what you believe) helped by mismanagement of the city by a bunch of cowboy and allegedly corrupt councillors that wouldn't know advancement if it hit them on the back of the fucking head,....BUT.......I spend quite a lot of time in around Manchester and I have to admit the reason for doing so is that I genuinely think the city centre is one of the best in the UK, but once you step outside of that city centre Manchester is no different to Stoke on Trent...A RIGHT FUCKING SHIT HOLE!!, I dare say you could reel off some nicer suburbs of the greater Manchester such as Didsbury but Stoke also has nicer places to live just outside the centre such as Caverswall. On the point of the original post.....Jeez your a drama queen, they were singing to add to atmosphere not to taunt an injured player, what did you want to happen .....all the ground stand in unison staring open mouthed in complete silence until Huth rose to his feet then 20 odd thousand people give a collective sigh of relief. I despair!!

not sure I can get used to all this positivityThe Blues were looking increasingly disjointed and sloppy as the game wore on against a decent Potters team who no longer rely solely on long throws and set-pieces to threaten opponents.

Take them the glebe in Stoke, kids welcome, good atmosphere and never any trouble. Sound advice there from Mozzer, might I just add that it's always best to check that your kids are still with you when you get to the ground, you wouldn't to forget them and leave them in the pub, wouldn't you agree Mozz? Thats correct Mate, it was an easy mistake to make but I look at as a lesson in life skills that he was taught at an early age, he is now a very independent lad who has no problems with his own company or looking after himself,,,,, even the prim minister left his kids in the pub not long back so I bet lots of people have done the same thing and its must be a common occurrence Dave

I' m taking an American family to the match tomorrow, their first game too. Does anybody know how busy does the pub at the end of Stanley Mathews way get? And is it suitable for kids. Lived in Stoke all my life, yet can't decide where to go! I always have a per match beer in Trent Vale, not really suitable for kids, never had to worry before Take them the glebe in Stoke, kids welcome, good atmosphere and never any trouble.

If I was 100% sure where we would end up at the end of the season I would be waddling off down mr bookies and waging a wedge of brass on the outcome, at this point in the season I still think we have as much chance of getting relegated as we do have of staying up, I will have a clearer outlook come the end of the Xmas fixtures when we have played the stronger and weaker teams in this league, I think there could be a few surprises this year at both ends of the table,

It just goes to shows how sanitized football has now become, handbags at 5 paces in the middle of Burslum is making the news and getting threads decrying their behaviour, I bet they get more raucous behaviour in mothercare under 3s toy aisle,
All the footage posted on FB and Utube I have seen is 2 lines of police 1 behind Vale and 1 in front of wolves with an empty 50ft of no mans land in between, lots of shouting and gesturing by a few wanna be tommy ten men, a little bit of finger pointing and shouting, a couple of dog bites by staffs finest bow wows and few excitable police officers shouting get back and keep walking........not exactly a fuckeyed riot by any stretch of the imagination in fact I am struggling to term it as anti social behaviour.

according to bayern Hughes revealed that Ryan tweaked something in teh warm up,if so then explains a lot. I thought he was fine at Liverpool too That answers a few questions actually, we noticed in the first half he was always rubbing his thigh as if he was struggling with some thing, just hope that was the only reason for a dire first half showing from our usual no nonsense mr dependable.

I was disgusted by the booing at half-time. LMH is our manager now. As with his predecessors, we should get behind him and support our team. I don't mind folk moaning on here. I doubt the players or staff take much note of what is said on a message board, but at the game, the mood of fans can affect performances on the pitch. Jeez March, the atmosphere was as flat as a witches tit during the first half and there was a damn good reason for it, "the mood of fans can affect performances on the pitch."........ the performance on the pitch can also affect the mood of the fans

The vitriol and the bollocks spoken by many Stoke fans was embarrassing Believe me there was a hell of a lot of Stoke fans ( loosely ) who were desperate for us to lose today You know who you are To be honest mate I was seriously worried at HT (as I'm sure most Stokies were) I never ever want my team to lose but I have big question marks re MH. I unashamedly was one of the 'be careful what you wish for brigade'. Whatever TP did or didn't do for Stoke, I personally always trusted him. His regime was organised immensley, everbody knew their job to a man and exactly what was expected of them. I understand MH has only been in the job a few weeks and I appreciate that BUT I remember the days of Gudjon and BosChump - free flowing football, no discipline and getting stuffed 3-0/3-1 at home on several occassions. I was brought up on Banks,Smith TC, Greenhoff, Huddy etc and witnessed some of the best football to be seen at the time. It's very different today and whilst I acknowledge that we maybe looking a wee bit better on the eye right now, against Liverpool we could have lost by 6 or 7 (far too much space between back four & midfield) and against arguably the weakest team in the Prem we looked rocky at times (early days I know!) It's all if's and but's however I believe with TP we'd have got a point at Anfield and despatched Palace with relative ease, got a point at W Ham and something v Man City. I hope we win the next couple of games but right now we need signings and MH needs to earn my trust. If he makes me feel just half as proud to be a Stokie as TP did then he'll be doing very well! C'mon STOKE! Well put Ripon, your observation and balence of argument is spot on.

I have to be honest Fish I was one of those who was moaning my bag off at half time, mainly about Mr Shawcross unusually inept first half performance and how the team haven't got a clue which formation or system that they were trying to play for the first 45 minutes, any decent team of a better calibre than championship Palace would have had that game done and dusted by half time and put a woeful Stoke to the sword with the game out of sight, now although I was moaning I certainly don't want to see Stoke lose or Hughes to Fail in fact it is the exact opposite as why I was moaning, I want to enjoy my Saturday afternoon feeling elated that we are winning and being successful, unfortunately though judging by the first half performance I have to admit as that looked highly unlikely whilst chatting(moaning) at the half time break. I personally hear more bollox from the deluded fuckwits that think we have suddenly turned in to Brazil since the change of playing style and some of the threads and comments on here highlight the embarrassing deluded fuckwittery of the Oatcake massive...... You say you were pissed off because you want entertainment and that's why you were moaning Fuck sake mate you started a thread praising the last manager last weekend Couldn't script it ( smiley ) I think you have the wrong end of the stick here fish, I was moaning because I had just witnessed that dire first half of a Stoke performance when I was honestly thinking we would have played a hell of a lot better against such a piss poor Palace side, nothing to do with being pissed about entertainment it was down to the performance of the team and the surprise of how badly Ryan was playing. At the end of the day mate I will back the manager as I backed Pulis, 100%...I would have backed Mickey Adams if the board had decided to appoint him but that does not mean that I am not allowed to have a view because it does not toe the party line, if we are playing badly I will have a chunter and a moan about it, if we are playing well I will lap it up and enjoy it, I certainly will not be booing the manager or the players or any substitutions that the manager makes like the vocal lynch mob did with Pulis. At the end of the day mate you have known me a long time and you know I am a Stoke fan plain and simple, always have been always will be, premier league or division 3 I will be a stoke fan, if we play bad in division 3 I will moan then too....along with the other 8K that will be there.

It could only happen at Stoke, we take the plunge to move the club into the present century by having bar code readers at the turnstiles instead of the 1960s style paper books, yet we completely miss the point and have the readers on the opposite side of the turnstile and still have an operator to scan it in for you......
Man city and Reading have a similar system that works just fine with no operators........did we do it on the cheap
