People on here are ridiculously fickle. One semi-credible rumour about him having a bad attitude and he’s denounced as a lazy, feckless waste of space. I bet if someone had posted that they’d heard that he’s settled in so well he has Oatcakes for breakfast daily everybody would be talking about having seen encouraging signs in his appearances so far. On my part it was obvious way before any rumour broke out. He should be nowhere near our starting 11 which in itself means it’s a waste of a loan. Did you see the Ipswich game? He was on the beach. I’d be happy if that was the last time I saw him in a Stoke shirt.

For me it doesn’t take a genius to work out that this lad has a serious attitude and application problem.
The showing against Ipswich was the epitome of that. I think I counted 3 players in the short time he was on the pitch gesticulating at him and suggesting he needs to close his man down. He was way off the pace, sauntering around when clearly under instruction to press hard from the front. I thought his effort levels against Watford were pathetic too.
Not writing him off for his footballing ability as he’s not had a fair enough crack for that to be judged but you can smell his attitude a mile away. You either want it or you don’t and it’s a waste of a valuable loan slot to have a premier league player that can’t be arsed to run.

We need another wide forward that’s ready to go straight into the first team if this goes through.
We’ll only have Vidi, Campbell and Chiquihno. Mmaee has only played rarely as a wide forward and his best position is as a 9, we need to play him there.
For me we still need
1 CB 1 CM 1 Winger 1 Striker
Probably a RB as well.

Don’t get the hate for Tymon tbh. I think he’s improved massively defensively and if we are playing with attacking full backs this season, which looks like the plan, he’s a sure starter. I think he can rediscover some of his best form with some more fluid attacking players around him.

Be interesting to see if he plays for Colchester today. Their fans seem to think he will. I don’t think he will. Not when the deal is as far down the line as they say.

Interesting, from the tweets Ryan’s brother also plays for his old club as a Centre Half. Get him in? 😂 Don’t know how good he is, mind.

Hoodwink gullible people 😂😂😂 Or Stoke supporters who appreciate actually seeing the manager take an interest in them? If you believe that I have a flying pig to sell you. Take your tin hat off for once in your life Bayern. Not everything in this life is a conspiracy theory that revolves around you.

I didn’t say he was the messiah, it’s good that they are mingling with the fans that’s all and it’s a refreshing take. Why do people have to have a downer on it. It’s positive🤷🏻♂️ I actually find it a little depressing that people would respond negatively to to be honest. It’s a bit of fun and certainly a step up from what we’ve endured since we’ve been in the championship re fan interaction I'm not responding negatively to him turning up in a pub Badge (indeed I've said fair play for him taking time to do so) but rather, I think people maybe wise to temper their enthusiasm for what it might actually represent, in terms of the teams' performances on the pitch going forwards. Hopefully it's going to be a great season but literally, anybody could have done what he's done tonight, let's not go overboard about it. You’re right, any manager in football has the capacity to rock up at the pub and spend some time with the fans. The simple fact of the matter is, they don’t. This is nothing to do with results, performances or points on the board. This is about our club and our club manager trying to bring the fans closer to the club they love and making them a part of it. As far as AN’s job and creating a true relationship with the fans is concerned, of course it will come down to results. That’s the cynical way of looking at it. Football is about more than score lines and results. It’s a sport that unites people all over the world, brings local and international people together. The fact that our club and current manager are making every effort to make this a club that engages with the fan base is definitely something to be proud of. Why can’t we just enjoy some of our off the pitch wins whilst it’s pre-season? Like the fan engagement, the recruitment strategy and the exciting signings, the media we’re putting out on our social platforms. Football is about entertainment and it’s a hell of a lot deeper than what happens at 3 o’clock on a Saturday for a lot of people.

Is it possible that we've signed Chiquinho as an alternative to Vidigal? Or are we definitely having both? 100% no. They have both signed. So has Bayram. And so has Travers. Happy Saturday. When can we expect some announcements of these chopper? That would make the window very very good, so far.

Clayton wood and the stadium has nothing to do with the BET365 website being down or not So why, if it's true, are bet365 IT being despatched to SCFC? Bet365 might have been brought in to help out. They’ll have a plethora of technical bods down the road, why wouldn’t they help their partner company?

The best thing about all of our summer business so far, deals and potential deals, is that there’s a proper plan behind it. I’d rather be where we are now than having signed 7 new players for the sake of getting numbers in. Shrewd business Stoke. Jared is cooking.
Get Vidigal announced and Travers and we really are cooking!

Only the Luddites. We only looked like winning a game of football when he was on the pitch last season Wtf have the Luddites got to do with it? Don’t think Luddites would post on an online message board would they.😁😁 The Luddites exist 😳

Didn’t realise Tye had so little time left on his contract. Signing him up to a 3-4 year deal should be top priority this summer.

The biggest problem with some of our fan base is that they quite literally believe that football is as simple as kicking the ball forwards and scoring a goal with every single passage of play. This is glaringly obvious at home, a lot of our fans would rather see a hopeful percentage ball going forwards and lose possession than pass sideways or backwards to keep the ball then trying again to work an opening by moving the opposition pieces. If you listen to tactical interviews and insights of some of the best coaches in world football you will understand that keeping possession of the ball for as much as you can during a game has its obvious merits. The most of obvious of which is the opposition can’t score whilst you’ve got the ball. The tactics of keeping possession aren’t what’s wrong, it’s having players competent and confident enough to keep it without making catastrophic errors. Similarly, you can’t score without the ball, unless of course the opposition score an own goal, which we all know doesn’t happen often. The most successful teams in any division, largely have more of the ball than not. Teams play to their strengths and a problem with some of our fanbase is that they are convinced that the strengths of other teams are the strengths of ours as well. Our performance throughout the season, our final position and our overall lack of a consistent attacking threat indicates that what we were doing was wrong. The most successful teams find a way to recruit and play to their strengths, not just simply copy what others do and hope that they can do it themselves/persist to do the same thing over and over again even if it isn’t working for you. I think percentage based football to turn the ball forward when you’ve not got a target man who can win the majority of duels is just lunacy. We were trying to play the right way with the personnel we have, they just weren’t good enough. I’d argue that the best we looked all season was possession based football. We started trying a more direct approach soon after that and it was much less effective. Our entire season next season is dependent on bringing in an effective target man.

With a forward line of delap, brown, gayle and campbell? We managed squeeze a spell where it clicked and confidence was up, but we dominated and out numbered on passes in a hell of a lot of games last season but couldn't put the ball in save our life's. And people say, well it's alright having 550 to 600 passes a game but where are those passes going? Well the same place as man citeh's passes mainly. Sideways and backwards. Difference is they've got the quality of players up top to just teams in given moments. We hadn't. Like our Sunderland friend on here said, he got them well organized. Well he did that. He got us dominating a lot of games in terms of stats, but with a forward line like we had, and the lack of confidence they had we were pissing in the wind. It’s not reasonable to compare Stoke to Man City. The latter have a purpose when they pass the ball around the back. The team moves with the pass and the opposition open up a bit more. Stoke on the other hand appear surprised when they receive a ball and then start to think what to do. We were less like Man City and more like a poorer version of Mowbray’s WBA. On post after post you've already judged him based on another manager's players and you've just made the judgement that he won't deliver because he hasn't got "the ability to walk his talk". How can you claim to have an open mind when you have already made it up? More then happy to be probed wrong and very happy to acknowledge but I’ve said from day 1 I felt he was a mediocre appointment and his results gave actually been worse than expected and for the last 9 months he’s been out performed. BY a whole series of his peer group dealt similar hands from carrick , to Rosenoir , to Warnock , to edwards , to corberon , to robbins and so far since the season ended he’s done not single constructive thing Do you always talk waffle Benj or just on days ending with a “Y”?

Had about 10 good games out of 210. Played a key part in our fall from grace and then fucked off as soon as the big time money wasn't on the table. No applause from me.

The most energy in our stadium is negative shite that gets flung towards our own. I remember when we made opposition keepers cry, now we blow them kisses. Sad really.

A massive signing if we get this through. Hopefully a bit of positivity next weekend and a semblance of an atmosphere instead of 25000 moaning bastards waiting for the first pass back to the keeper. You have to learn to zone-out of the dinosaur frequency mate. Loads round me that shout "forward" then we play it long to no one. "Are you happy now Mr T-Rex?"
