Laundry pass daytime Thurs
I didn't manage to get the old spring jacket to "as new". I realised it wasn't sweat. It was a colour bleed from the inside of the jacket. Difficult case. So it looks dirty even though it's not. Next time I see a jacket with this label: "only wash with similar colours" I won't buy it.
I washed mostly towels today. Can't carry heavy loads either with a fractured wrist, even though I used my other hand.
Two things to mention, since nothing looked strange in the laundry room or in the drying room, and the three things were placed as usual, the cloth, the dish brush, the metal plug for the wash basin. 1) a strange little young man was lurking in the dark outside the door to the cellars. He excused himself. 2) then later, when I was going to collect my things, another older man was lurking in the dark in the little passage to the back yard.
🤔 Who were they? FBI? The first one looked Italian.

First side news here today:
According to some American politician, Russia wants to put nuclear weapons up in the sky.
However, they are not meant to be used for bombing places on Earth, only to fight and attack satellites.

A stopped Clock is correct twice a day Railing against the insanity doesn't change the reality, that Trump is likely to be the next President of the US and all that entails for Friend or Foe alike. The World is more actively volatile now than it has been in the last 75 years. Conflicts in relatively small Countries Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Hamas have huge repercussions in the World Order Financially and Geopolitically 20 of 31 NATO Countries do not fulfil the commitment to NATO of spending 2% of GDP on Defence including Germany, France and Italy 3 of the G7 Some posts today on different threads suggest that UK Government/Politics should confine to Domestic issues, that is naive, but possibly a reflection of what influence UK has now or going forward In other events taking place in the World, besides Trumps likely Election China the 2nd Largest Economy in the World is facing a major Economic downturn. Socially this is very bad news because Youth Unemployment is so high partially responsible for the Bankrupcy of the biggest Property Company in the World Evergrande meaning young people can't afford to buy a house. In the one child policy this upsets the Social Order of the Younger Generation looking after the Older. These Domestic problems are unlikely to greatly upset Western Countries but it will mean the Chinese Consumers will no longer be buying Apple Phones, Volkswagon Cars or Burberry Coats and demand for Western Materials to grow the Economy will be limited Indonesia projected to be the 6th largest Economy in the World by 2026, ironically accelerated to overtake Russia due to Russia's War. It has the World's largest Muslim Population, it is the 3rd largest, allegedly, Democracy in the World, it has the 4th Largest Population in the World. For the last 10 years the Economy has prospered after the Suharto Dictatorship. The most expected Candidate to win the current Presidential Election Prabowo favours the old Military approach. Pakistan, another Democracy apparently, with the 5th largest population in the World economically is a Basket Case. 40% of the Population live in poverty using the $3 per day measure. It also happens to be a Neuclear Power. We have seen the current disputed Elections where the previously jailed exPM Sharif is claiming victory over the currently jailed exPM Imran Khan. Pakistans closest allay is China but despite certain differences is also close allay to Iran depending on who is in control India, another Neuclear Power and the most populous Country in the World claims to be the largest Democracy in the World. That might be true if you discount the 20% non Hindu Population So we have the proposition by the end of 2024 some of the largest and most populous Countries in the World will be governed by psedo or actual Dictators Trump: Xi: Prabowo: Sharif: Modi: Putin: Netanyahu: Khamenei, there are others I could mention The only glimmer is that all of the above are into their seventies and with any luck might Fuck Off soon. Who are the replacements waiting in line? What is the "Pay" he talks about in that short video clip? Pay for what? Old debts?

Reading the Epigenetics Revolution by N Carey recommended by civilestokie I just found out the liver is supposed to produce a certain protein (among a lot of other things) to break down alcohol. It said if you don't drink alcohol the production will be low.
I wonder if it's the same protein we have to break down medicine of different kind.
Since I down drink ... alcohol ... The best alcohol free alternative to wine must be pomegranate juice. They can be either very strong and sweet, very bitter, or something in between.

Yeah, NATO intelligence officers have been warning about this sort of thing. If we don't support Ukraine to win, and trump wins the US election, then the chances are high that Putin will invade a NATO member. The expectation is he'll take a bit of the Baltics and then his western allies and idiots will say "we need to have peace! There should be a cease fire" and if we listen to them like people are listening on Ukraine, Then NATO is meaningless and he can just gobble up Europe piece by piece. The only ways to be sure to stop it is to help Ukraine (cheap), build up our armies massively (super expensive) or for NATO countries to agree to nuke Moscow if we even believe russians are behind the "separatists" that pop up in the Baltics. But how can Russia mobilise along the Finnish border? Aren’t they struggling to get enough men for Ukraine? Not at all, they will increase their army staff by 50% in numbers in just two years. And China are reportedly supporting them hugely all they can, when it comes to whatever they need. They clearly seem to have a mutual enemy.

While DNA is the foundation, the base, epigenetics seems to be the fine tuning.
Next chapter in the book by N Carey is "Why aren't identical twins actually not identical?"
Funny question ... if they had been, it would be the same person twice.

Congrats Cheadle! And don't you worry, another victory and you'll feel two years younger.
Since the swede Gyökeres no longer is in Coventry but has become a very appreciated striker in Sporting Lissabon, I go with:
Championship Sat 17 Feb 2024
Stoke-Coventry
FT 2-1

Ipswich w 10 men obviously, bit I don't know why, an injury probably. Millwall corner. Think Ispwich only won 2 in 10 and Millwall not won in weeks Yes, the Tractor Boys have been unlucky. Moore is a good new player.

I read today Russia's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) has increased more than the rest of the world, like EU's for instance, thanks to what the war has brought.
I see no end to that.
