Cue significant upturn in fortunes at Charlton.....I reckon he will do well there due to a bit of history with the club and so brings familiarity.

I reckon Tomasson might purposely throw the game just to force the issue.....weird I know but nothing surprises me these days.
Dare I say it a scrappy 1-0 away win...?

To single out one state which (back in 1843 changed its laws according to Wikipedia)has no bearing on the judicial processes of the UK has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on this instance....so basically thats bollocks. There's a lot of evidence that death sentences are not cost effective. ejusa.org/resource/wasteful-inefficient/#:~:text=Many%20people%20believe%20that%20the,making%20it%20much%20more%20expensive. And as we haven't had the death penalty in the UK since the early sixties you basically have to take comparisons from elsewhere as we have no contemporaneous domestic data. As to this case they are very definitely minors which no other country in the world executes. So - in short - I'm not sure what your point is. We can go back and forth here to the 'enth degree....we just have differing opinions and my point is we should hang them. If, god forbid anything were to happen to my boy or daughter, I would absolutely and unequivically want vengeance and revenge 100%. That to me would be justice. Then Id go after their families and make their lives a living hell as well.... You wouldnt I suppose....? I know the answer here so ......

And bring ourselves down to their level of savagery? Not to mention the inevitable miscarriages of justice. There's a lot of misconceptions about the death penalty. That it's cheaper (it isn't - the reason Wisconsin doesn't have it it because there are fewer appeals under a life sentence regime), that it's a deterrent (again the correlation shows that states with the death penalty have the higher murder rate) that it is justice for the victims (an awful lot of families don't want that). Add to that -as you say - miscarriages of justice and the fact that these two were only 15 at the time would make us the only country in the world to (officially) execute children its a non starter for me. By all means discuss the lengths of sentences but the death penalty is just a tool for brutal regimes and a medieval blood lust for the masses as far as I'm concerned. To single out one state which (back in 1843 changed its laws according to Wikipedia)has no bearing on the judicial processes of the UK has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on this instance....so basically thats bollocks.

Because I believe in justice not vengeance. I also believe in the possibility of rehabilitation even in the most extreme cases but do accept that for some individuals lifelong imprisonment is appropriate. If we're being honest they wont last in prison....theyll get turned over Absolute max 10 years then someone will ' bump into them'..... 10 years too long imo.......its beyond reasonable doubt so hang em. Simple.

Absolutely death by a thousand cuts It's been a loong Republican campaign to de-fang voters and shift the power to the Party. E.g. a typical Wisconsin Assembly election can look like this. Republican politicians made an obscene map that lets them pick their voters. They lost the vote by 8.2% (aka two Brexits) but took a huge 63-36 seat majority. Republicans own the Wisconsin Assembly unless the vote swings to something like 70% Democratic, and the Republicans used their Supreme Court judges to "legitimise" this theft of power from the voters. It's a ratchet - every time they take power, they use it to stack courts with judges or change laws to ensure they're harder and harder for voters to choose against them in future. The goal is possibly elections like Putin's, so The Party and Supreme Leader can't be easily removed. It'll be even harder for voters to make free and informed choices if Trump wins in 2024 and eventually the Republicans feel comfortable using the police, FBI etc to go after opposition directly. What happens if the Republicans decide to go after the "vermin" (Republican words, not mine) inside the country? Atm it looks like they'll try to eradicate trans people from public life, but who will be next? All LGBT people? Muslims? Atheists? Some group of immigrants? Liberals in general? Will they allow Democratic states to protect their citizens, or not? Nothing wrong with your last paragraph !!!

I'd say that if you pay the entrance money then you're as much of a supporter as anyone else. No. That's when you are a paying customer. Supporting is sticking behind the team through thick, and currently mostly, thin. You mean " Bonnie Langford thin" or " Amy Whinehouse thin"...the latter is more appropriate at the moment I feel

There's a trend (not 100%, but significant) that goes all the way back to Rowett. The manager we sack goes to another club and their fortunes start improving. The manager we hire may get a little bounce but then gets bogged down in whatever the entrenched issues are at the club, whilst the club they came from hire someone else and generally push upwards. That tells me across three clubs (ours, the club from which we recruited and the club our sacked manager took control) that the manager isn't the problem. I know a quite a few don't like talking about Pulis, but for his second reign he commanded significant control on purchases and football decisions. It worked. They took it from him (and who was placed into the position of significant control?), and he left. Yes, there were a few good seasons with Hughes (who did attract some quality players), but once the 'Pulis Spine' was gone it was all over red rover. …… AND, don’t forget the telling comment from Hughes, which was something along the lines of “ well who else would do this job”?. It does beg the question of interference from above…

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-transfer-deadline-day-live-9069646Stoke are hoping to clinch two deals before the 11pm deadline. Million Manhoef is expected to be the first, a 22-year-old left-footed right winger coming in from cash-strapped Vitesse Arnhem, and Stoke are also hoping to beat the clock to bring in a centre-forward.Outgoings seems to remain in flux. Stoke are already topping out their senior squad size so an exit or two for players who might suddenly see themselves down the pecking order isn't ruled out. screw the defence, i'm all aboard the signing of 2 new exciting attacking players! Sod that, who's up for a "Boskmap-esque" 2-1-7 formation...?

He flatters to deceive mate honestly….. we’ve both alluded to his work rate but that’s all he’s got in his locker. I’ve watched him at least 5 times this season and I just don’t rate him….. I’d keep the cash in the bank OR go on the hunt for a striker. The 4 million could have been better spent is all I’m saying Ok, thanks for the feedback. Interesting to see how he gets on if he signs. And Norwich …. 😟

Have you seen those funny cat videos when a cat chases a laser pen but never catches it and slides all over the floor…? That’s Manhoef….. he just runs and runs but no end product. He’s got a good engine but if you can’t deliver an end product there’s no point…… even if he did manage to improve we haven’t got a striker to finish it anyway Only my opinion but he’s just another Vidigal and not an upgrade. We should be going all in for van Hooijdonk … Definitely agree re SVH Going to Norwich isn't he? Is he…? Shame that is….every time I watched him play I just kept thinking of Steve Bull the ex-Wolves striker, just bulldozing his way through defenders….. weird that !

He looks like he at least has some end product, is quick, aggressive, direct and more hard working than Vidigal. Is that a fair assumption or do his videos really make him look better than he is? Love it, I use Teams. No longer do I have to go into an office to sit through a face to face meeting and waste my time. Instead I can multitask and stay on mute if parts of the meetings don’t apply to me. Also, our company has got better with timekeeping - meeting gets to the end of its time and we bin it. No staying over etc, schedule another. Also there is a good ability to cover ones arse too. Our Teams has the record and transcript facility, if I schedule a meeting I get sent a report on attendance after etc… can become extremely useful where needed. This plus the flexible working is the best change in my work/life balance imo Yep, couldnt agree more - mute when needed, crack on with work on screen two, or the Oatie lol, or watching cricket on my telly. Our place has gone mad with Co-Pilot and AI, so its all getting documented with actions and stuff automatically sent out to people at the end of call. Those folk who think they are really funny must read the transcription back (or those who ask a daft ridiculous question when the meeting has ended and somebody says 'anything else'.....) and wonder where life went wrong... My only objection is if a director or senior leader is doing an all hands briefing, the level of sycophancy is huge in the text comments section (Oh thats great, Thank you for that, Wow that really makes business sense) - just fuck off you brown nose tossers, they arent going to read it or send you a Christmas card Your last paragraph sums up our commercial clown to a "T" We call it the "promises department".....

It's tragic given how horrifyingly shit Sadiq Khan is (as I'm sure all of us on here can agree on) and yet this is the best the Tories can offer? Anyone with an ounce of competence, passion and/or intelligence would annihilate Khan. He will continue to run London into the ground for many years to come. Oh dear oh dear you are so misinformed Tfl rises Ulez Congestion toll expansion price hike Cut to all London boroughs of 10 percent Net police costs cut All imposed by this terrible tory government to try Nd make him look bad while playing the race card Since borris was mayer the tories have strangled London funding by blackmail when that didn't work they plaid the racist card classy lot the tories blackmail and racisum
