I was half there. He ticks the BAME box. He's good choice As is Clive Myrie on mastermind, miles better than John Humphrys

Looked at fixing to a new tariff yesterday for electric only with British gas. Just the £430 a month. They can fuck right off. Extremely cheap sim only deal here if it helps anyone out, I'll be transferring 2 of ours over to it. Uses Vodafone network. www.hotukdeals.com/share-deal-from-app/3978870

Better passing than many men’s’ teams ✅ better movement ✅ less cynical fouls & arguing with ref ✅ less rolling around play-acting ✅ better behaviour in crowd ✅ Overall …… they make the men look like the arrogant, over paid, knobs, couldn’t-care-less-about-the-fans types that they are Hard to argue with that. The thing that stood out for me is that the crosses and corners were so much better from the women than the blokes who are paid 10k+ a week.

So fucking easy to fall in to the misogynistic trap of saying the women's game is shite. I was guilty of it myself How wrong I was. This tournament has been fantastic and way above the skill level I gave them credit for. I've enjoyed it as much as any recent mens tournament and a lot more than some of the shite that's served up at Championship level. Well done England. You've done your country proud. It’s not shite but the standard is appalling. Sunday league at best. It’s ruined tonight by the constant sniping about the mens game. The England men would stopcock 50 past the women of not more 🙄

Live in South Manchester. Would live in Liverpool. Wouldn't move to Brum.
Manchester has the best live music scene in the world in my eyes, which is a massive plus.

I thought they were ace. A copper of all people gave me a free ticket outside the venue. Never heard so much talking at a gig though, fucking annoying. Went to the Strokes in Lytham on Friday who were also great. I've seen Primal Scream probably more than any other band (bar New Order and The Chemical Brothers) over the past 25 years and this was the most below par performance I've seen them give. Looked and sounded like they were phoning it in from my vantage point. Conversely, the last time I saw them was also in Mcr at The Albert Hall on the Total Rock and Roll tour pre-pandemic and they were blisteringly good. The best part of the gig for me last night was watching the innumerable portly middle aged blokes in Gazelles and windcheaters staggering about saucer-eyes and sweating and wondering why they'd made such a bad decision after necking two pills in an ill-advised attempt to relive their long lost youth for one night only 🤣 I am a (unportly) middle aged and did indeed have gazelles on but was fairly sober when I got there. So many people as you described were absolutely fucked. I and two other people had to help one guy up the steps as he was so spangled. Think vantage point was key in this one, I got fairly close to front right of stage which helped. Think this is my 4th time seeing them over 26 years and definitely the best for me.

Just got home from Manchester after taking in Primal Scream playing Screamadelica in full at Castlefield Bowl. If I'm being entirely honest, The Scream Team's performance was a bit lacklustre and whilst it was great to hear all those tunes together in the same set, it was a bit flat in terms of energy and looked very much to me like a band going through the motions. All three supports - Walt Disco, LoneLady and The Mysterines - were impressive however with oddball gender-bending Glaswegian upstarts Walt Disco standing out with their blend of The Associates / John Foxx mashed up with Adam & The Ants had all the aforementioned been produced by Brothers In Rhythm 👍 I thought they were ace. A copper of all people gave me a free ticket outside the venue. Never heard so much talking at a gig though, fucking annoying. Went to the Strokes in Lytham on Friday who were also great.

I'm finding the traditional Conservative media utterly baffling on this. There was nothing remotely Conservative about this wretched PM. What are they defending? He's been less libertarian than any PM of our lifetime, he's racked up more debt than any PM of our lifetime, he's allowed wokery to run rife, he's inflicted an insane green agenda on a nation that will obliterate the poorest in society, he's allowed illegal migrant crossings to spiral out of control to an all time high, he's upped taxes countless times and he's as bad as Keir Starmer when it comes to defining what a woman is. Oh and he's a compulsive liar and corrupt as hell. He's the least Conservative PM we've had for decades. A soft, weak, blustering, Liberal globalist who couldn't give a fuck about the people of this country and is totally incompetent at leadership. . With all that in mind, watching so called "Conservatives" and "Conservative" leaning media support him is incredibly odd. They backed him because they are baseless, talentless career politicians who stand for absolutely nothing but elected power. His thud and bluster got them into power and the longer the lifeless Starmer stayed around with him, there was a 50% chance that said thud and bluster would have got them back in. Only when it became obvious that the only show in town was closing down for summer did they twist the knife. The only benefit to this sorry episode is the local MPs have pretty much shown themselves up for what they truly are and Stoke will once again become red. I'm not so sure they will.

Whilst Cummings is a wanker most definitely part of the problem, carnage is most definitely the word, as the last two days have shown. The constitution has been ripped up by Johnson and now its time to rip it up further and have him escorted out of Downing Street if he wont go of his own accord. The alternative is genuinely too dangerous to let play out. Raab, dear lord. I absolutely fucking detest him.

Staying on as a caretaker prime minister by October. Anyone think he'll change his mind?! Depends if he's allowed in the 1st place. 57 jobs to fill and he's not going to be allowed to fill them.
