My little Chav has fashioned his tie into what can only be described as a hangmans noose....or more just a big footballers tie.....me and Eddy are pissing ourselves....How did you wear school tie? ;D ;D

the reverse of a normal tie where it was a small knot with the big end tucked it and about 6 inches of the small end showing
proper 80's grange hill style

The slim jim was always popular at Alsager comp (i.e. tie it with the wide end round your neck and the thin end hanging down). I preferred the grey lambs wool v-neck sweater and respectable tie combo. We were largely a much better class of student in Alsager dontchaknow

We were all posh in Alsager - it is in Cheshire after all. As soon as you cross the border the other side of Kidsgrove it's a different world

Morning eddy's mum As previously stated, thin end showing (late 80's) and as short as possible. We had an unwritten code of pulling threads out of it with a compass so that it was almost threadbare too. I don't know why, but your school status depended upon how much of it you plucked away without attracting detention ;D

No idea what it was all about eddy's mum, our tie had diagonal stripes of red with yellow edging on a black background and it seemed your street cred depended upon how much of the yellow you could pull out. I was threatened with an elasticated tie if i went home with one more tie in shreds, so mine was quite conservative

There was a big trend to use a black marker to colour in the white areas of tie amongst the goths, so that they had a completely black tie.

potassium permanganate in the bunsen was much more entertaining, though did attract a 2 day suspension from school. Happy days ;D

We were all posh in Alsager - it is in Cheshire after all. As soon as you cross the border the other side of Kidsgrove it's a different world Alsager has the largest number of alcoholics than any other town ive ever known. P.S At the lovely Chell high we never wore ties.
