it looks like the 200+ extra staff have really helped it graphical wise. to the point where if these screens are true representations of the actual in game experiance, they are gona give fifa a run for its money this year.
im still convinced pro evo will do fifa this year. either way i will never buy fifa while konami are still making the pro evo series.

i read a few of the pro evo fan sites, some of which have played a very early build of the new game, they cant say any details untill playstation magazine comes out with an exlusive on the whole thing,
all they have said is that its "unbealivable" obviously this is a pes fan site so it may be a little bias, but either way, im sure alot of epople who went over to fifa will be coming back this year.

The PES fan sites have been very critical of the last few PES games, so this is sounding good. Graphics looking better anyway...

Everything is looking great so far. The video that shows the tactical sliders and CARD system could really change the way we play the game. I like how to can decide whether or not to exploit a players abilities through the CARD system for example: Messi can perform the Incisive Run inside which he does in real-life but you decide whether or not you want him to do that to keep him in line with your own tactical thinking However, saying all this, if it plays as shit as last year then I'll still not be happy but it's great seeing that they're giving this one a bloody good go

However, saying all this, if it plays as shit as last year then I'll still not be happy but it's great seeing that they're giving this one a bloody good go By the sounds of the previews they've gone back to how the old games play... which suits me down to the ground because the game I'm enjoying the most is PES4 on the PS2. Seriously, if you want to play a REAL football game play PES 4, 5 and on the PS2, they've seriously fucked up PES so far on the PS3 and 360. There's so many things wrong with PES 2009 I don't know where to begin, it's so rigid, the animation is shocking, the way they blent together is nowhere near as smooth as the old games. No wonder the reviewers ripped PES2008/2009 apart, they're total dogshit. Also, playing PES4 has made me realise why FIFA 09 isn't quite getting those 9/10 and 10/10 review scores that PES used to get on PS2. Yes FIFA's a technically great game, but it's still not up there with the old PES games. Anyway, like I said all the previews of PES2010 have been positive an point to it going back to where it was 4 years ago. PES4 in HD? Yes please!

Konami unveils new 360-degree control system, and more key gameplay advances determined by fan requests
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that PES 2010 will benefit from 360-degree control and further elevating the unrivalled realism of the title.
The announcement comes following Konami’s close contact with the global network of PES and football fans, who have played a key role in the development of the new game. Via forums and feedback, the PES Productions team in Tokyo has canvassed opinion on elements fans hoped to see included in PES 2010, and 360-degree control was part of the long list.
360-degree control will be available on both the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of the game via the analogue sticks on the respective controllers. The system will allow players to spread the ball with ease, opening up new attacking and defensive possibilities. PLAYSTATION 3 owners will also benefit when using the Dual Shock’s D-Pad, but Xbox 360 and Win D-Pads are limited to eight-directional control due to technical limitations of the hardware.
Konami has also confirmed a number of similarly crowd-pleasing elements as requested by the fan base, including:
Manual Goalkeepers: PES 2010 will be the only football title to offer users complete control of the keeper. Players can switch to their goalkeeper at any time, and will enjoy total control of his actions.
New Goalkeeper Moves: Players can now perform quick under-arm throws to their nearest defender to get attacks rolling more quickly.
All-New Animation: Key animation related to dribbling, running, turning, etc, has been reworked and enhanced, creating a more natural and organic feel to the way players chase down balls, change direction and move around the pitch. The result is a more fluid and natural look to the game.
Fine-tuned Close Control: The PES Productions team has worked to improve trapping of the ball and basic close control elements, giving the user more ways to spread and move the ball around effortlessly.
Manual Ball Request: The ability to demand the ball when running into space is now available to the player, and will be accessible in all game modes, such as multi-player, online, etc.;
Simpler Skills: Moves such as feints, drag backs and upper body feints can be applied more naturally when taking on or trying to beat an opponent. The PES series has long been associated with clever flicks and tricks, and PES 2010 will boast the most to date.
"The PES community has been an incredible asset in the development of PES 2010, and we can finally lift the lid on the many requests the team has been able to meet,” explained Naoya Hatsumi, Producer for PES Productions at Konami Digital Entertainment Japan. “We have strived to make the system work and coupled with the new AI and player elements in the game, it helps make PES 2010 a much richer and more realistic experience.”
“We cannot thank the PES community enough for their unerring support and constant stream of ideas,” commented Jon Murphy, PES European Team Leader. “They have offered a non-stop list of elements and options that has given the team so much to think about. As anyone can see, we are committed to making such things happen, and the addition of 360-degree control and extras such as the manual goalkeepers, being able to demand the ball, and all-new animation shows that the PES team are determined to make PES 2010 the greatest football title imaginable.”

i would say it will come out between a week and 2 weeks after fifa's,
bearing in mind thought that the pro evo demo last year was nothing like the actual game in any way. almost a completly different game.

Evening pisspots. I cannot wait for this demo - I so hope Konami deliver this year, i'm so bored of fifa, there really just isnt any comparison and certainly no way of going back once you are a pro evo fanatic. Please Konami, please make it as good as it used to be.

This isn't bad at all, still a little rigid and unresponsive for my liking. For example if you want to pass first time without controlling the ball, you have to hit pass really early.
Apart from that great so far, not up to FIFA standard but a HUGE improvement.
Edit: Switched from playing Liverpool to Italy and it's just clicked, if the PS3 version isn't a graphical nightmare I'll get this on PS3 and FIFA on 360.

had my first few games and got to say i love it,
main points being,
# the graphics look increadable, # the little animations, like when gerrard shoots then jogs off like he knows its going in, # how hard it is, and how the tactical slidders actually seem to work very well, # the overall presentation looks great aswell. # like how difficult it is to run past people, meaning if someone chooses barcelona online, there still gona have to be good at pro evo to win.

jesus christ,
just watched a repley of gerrard scoring against me, got close up to his face,
he actually screams at torres to play him the ball, then as he takes his shoot, he screws up his face,
then as he realised it had gone in, screams again and turns and sprints to the corner with a smile on his face.
brilliant stuff.

The graphics are shit, they have tried to hard with the players and lost the feel of the game all the players run like they have back problems and there arms are stuck in place Torres looks like he has skin cancer The crowds look awful when you kick the ball to shoot the sound is like someone shutting their boot on a car When you take a goal kick it goes into some 2d strange view All round poor effort again, its a good job there are fanboys about else CONomi would of gone out of business long ago.
from playing the demo's, another year to Fifa.
