Yep in TP we trust, he has to say that though to give the lad a fighting chance but in all honesty I can't see him being here next season, maybe at the start of pre season but I can see Brum taking him off our hands for around £3.5M. We may just have to cut our losses with this one lads and lasses.

I hope this doesn't mean we are keeping him and its more an attempt to keep his sale value up. He wants away, we want him away.

Maybe it will sink in to that ginger bonse that he has planted on his head that he was wank for us and also reading on loan.It may sink in that he needs to book his ideas up and pop a few in the back of the net.

i really hope kitto does stay on and bags 15 goals next season, proving everyone wrong. the fact of the matter is, he's a bloody good player, but didnt fit in with, lets face it, our sometimes neanderthal style at the start of the season. i think that with the arrival of ethers and with lennie firing on all cylinders, kitto could do a job for us.

Impossible for TP to say anything other than this really, otherwise a £5m 'asset' becomes dead money.
Not sure what sort of reception he'll get having deserted a very tight dressing room...

Spot on ruts66. Pulis, like any other manager in his position, has to leave the door open for Kitson to continue playing for us next season. It is obvious that it is going to be difficult to sell him. We can agree a lower fee than we paid for him and take a loss - but that still leaves the matter of two years wages left on his contract at £25k per week (allegedly) which equals £1.3 million per year. Ok, some of that will be appearance money, win bonuses and goal payments but it is still a big wedge. And Kitson won't be signing for anyone unless some way is found of giving him the sort of money he is due on his contract at Stoke.
I'm not saying a way woun't be found to get around the problem but it won't be quick - look how long it took to tie up the loan deal with Reading - and that was far simpler than the current problem.

If Camara can't play against Wigan, he may get a spot on the bench. Personally though I'd like to see Warwick Alexander or Louis Moult on the bench instead.

He's a massive centre forward in the academy.

Moult is being released so I wouldn't have thought he would get a first team game.

I think it would be a good idea to give him half an hour against Wigan.
If he gets a lucky goal or an assist then he would seem more attractive to the other clubs. No point throwing him into the rererves and forgetting all about him. Give him some time on the pitch and try to keep his value up I say

Moult is being released so I wouldn't have thought he would get a first team game. I thought there was one that TP likes and is being kept hold of? Myabe its not Moult but I'm sure there's another striker in the youth set up that is staying on and TP rates.

I agree with above posts. We could bring him back for last couple of games, Reading have nothing to play for. Plus I agree, with the wide men we have got he might have more joy. His confidence is shot to pieces and is not match fit. The players initially all said they had a good rapore. Yes ,what he said when he left was wrong but who's perfect. He hasn't to my knowledge slagged off the fans or the club. It simply didn't work first time around. Remember Beattie and Fuller are not going to be playing 38 games in a season.

I always thought that Kitson was the kind of player that needs decent service and is not naturally suited to chasing the ball (something that Fuller can happily do and creat something from nothing).
Our game has changed and maybe now, with Etherington etc, he may fit in better. Worth a place on the bench for me - give him a couple of chances in the last two games (half an hour in each say) and see how it goes as we don't have anything to lose.

I don't think Moult has been released- he has another year left in the academy and TP rates him highly.

With Camara out against Wigan, is Kitson allowed to be in our team now when Reading's season is over? If so I think Pulis should include him, to back what he's saying. Not many other forwards to choose from.

Lets not forget, TP did pay over £5million for him, so he must see something in him, so why not give him a game now we have Hethers & Lenny out wide to give him some decent service.

Dave Kitson regrets Stoke City move, enough said: www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/03/12/1152214/dave-kitson-regrets-stoke-city-error"I compromised everything I had at this football club, which was a lot," he told Sky Sports News. "Now, looking back, and with that in mind, you have to put your hands up and say I made a mistake, nobody else. I made the decision, nobody forced me to go to Stoke. "I went there thinking I could start a new challenge and do well for another less fashionable club and keep it in the Premier League. I was wrong and I put my hands up. "You should never compromise your family’s happiness and that is what I did. That is unforgivable."

I would boo the fucker, sorry. Well your talking absolute shite there, why would you boo a Stoke player simnply because he didnt fit into our system? I assume you were one of the idiots that booed Cressie as well?! I for one think that Kits could have been a massive hit for us, if like Beats he got an early goal, but with the pressure of being our one big money signing in the summer with every passing game with out a goal the pressure doubled and his frustration grew. We didnt play our best football when he was here and he is the type of player that thrives on service from the wings and im sure with Ethers and Liam playing well he would defo have bagged a few. That said i would be amazed to see him in a Stoke shirt again and its is impossible for TP to say anything other then this because it will look as though we are not desperate to sell him and get a decent price for him. TP also has us covered if we dont sell him Kits wont feel unwanted, so good management by Tone. Also i always taught he gave 110% when playing for Stoke and was understandably frustrated at not scoring and not happy at being subbed but he never moaned to the press about it and never criticised Stoke
