Yeah, I just can't see Coates letting TP off the hook too easily on this one however high TP's stock is right now!
Peter Coates: "Tony, what happened with the $5 million I spent on Dave Kitson? Will we still see any return on the investment either in terms of some meaningful football from him or perhaps a good return on selling him on?"
Tony Pulis: "I'm afraid not Peter, I thought Kitson would be good but he turned out to be a lame apology for a footballer. Trouble is everyone else has twigged that now and his re-sale value is minimal. I'm afraid we pissed the Kiston money up the wall Peter. Anyway, must get going, I have a training session to take...""

I don't think anyone dislikes Pericard more than me as a Stoke Player but I've never booed the bloke, why would you boo Kitson? Until he isn't a Stoke player he deserves to be treated likje the rest of the squad is, and that goes for the people booing Cresswell aswell.

Didn't gallagher play for Blackburn a couple of seasons ago - when his loan deal with us finished, under Boskamp ? Maybe the 'ginger ninger' will get a place on the bench ??

We [fans] did a good job this season.
We still have a role to play.
Options for ginger are: transfer to (probably) Championship side for a fraction of what we paid for him
Stay with us and continue to be crap
Stay with us and finally start paying return on fee. (then maybe moving on for a bigger fee)
If we can overcome our irritation and disappointment with him and give him a good supportive welcome that will be our part in the "get something out of Kitson" fiasco
Anyway - if we were to sing "there's only one Dave Kitson" you can always look on it as (thank God)"there's only one Dave Kitson"

Time will tell.

i think he might be on the bench on saturday.. we got Fuller and Beattie and Cresswell for this weekend so he might just sneak on the bench then again he might not and we might see Cresser leadign the line if Beattie or Fuller get injured (touch wood dont happen).

Bloody hell, if Tone can pull this off it'll be his all-time finest piece of man management. Either that or he's doing his best to put Kits in the shop window...

I'd like some other clubs impressed by him. It won't happen though. We will be lumbered with him until his contract runs out and then he will go for flip all.

think it also depends on if Coates will get him off the books for say 2 million and save the wages for someone else or will he hold out for 3-4 million in that case i think he's going be around for a while.

Give him a chance at some point in the last 2 games and let's see if he can grab a goal with the slightly different setup we have now.

If Stoke want to progress this year they will not do it with Kitson up front. He is not good enough simply put. Pulis may have to bite the bullet and sell him at a loss. Every good manager does it...Moyes-Kroldrup, SAF-Veron/djemba-djemba

I would boo the fucker, sorry. Well your talking absolute shite there, why would you boo a Stoke player simnply because he didnt fit into our system? I assume you were one of the idiots that booed Cressie as well?! I for one think that Kits could have been a massive hit for us, if like Beats he got an early goal, but with the pressure of being our one big money signing in the summer with every passing game with out a goal the pressure doubled and his frustration grew. We didnt play our best football when he was here and he is the type of player that thrives on service from the wings and im sure with Ethers and Liam playing well he would defo have bagged a few. That said i would be amazed to see him in a Stoke shirt again and its is impossible for TP to say anything other then this because it will look as though we are not desperate to sell him and get a decent price for him. TP also has us covered if we dont sell him Kits wont feel unwanted, so good management by Tone. Also i always taught he gave 110% when playing for Stoke and was understandably frustrated at not scoring and not happy at being subbed but he never moaned to the press about it and never criticised Stoke Well said, that man!

Kitson is a big problem. He lacks speed, touch and goals. His biggest problem is confidence however, which may offset the adverse effect of the others. In hindsight he was only worth £ 3 million at best. I've never rated him, and since he's been at Stoke ...less so.

aus any chance kitson could 'do a beattie' and turn good? Beatts had a good dozen games here before he got injured, yet this time last year evertonians were prob saying similar things about him as we are about kitson?

aus any chance kitson could 'do a beattie' and turn good? Beatts had a good dozen games here before he got injured, yet this time last year evertonians were prob saying similar things about him as we are about kitson? Its al relative. The season we had Beattie was the season after we finished 4th and we wanted to kick on, for all his ehart James didnt have enough technical ability but he can score goals. Kitson however has similar technical ability but doesnt score goals. He's not good enough and Stoke need to set their standards higher than him. Also with regards to Beattie his goals often come in spurts rather than prolonged periods so stick with him and he will produce.

Does anyone remember seeing Big Dave that red hot day in Cambridge when the crowd had to be sprayed with water? I was with a Cambridge mate that day in one of the shaded stands and I remember him saying to me then that the 'Ginger Ninja' was shite! A leopard never changes its spots!

Actually wizard_of_aus - despite his crap spelling he had a point.
Just what the feck do you use to justify giving us advice about our squad? You go on about 'Technical ablility' erm you have Yakubu up front and Hibbert at right-back - I would shut up.
All this is besides the main point, which is of course, since you are an Everton fan you should clearly just piss off to your own board. Bub-bye.
