Kelly and Pugh as the full backs. Fuller & Cresswell up front. Then he will bring Camara on 60 minutes if were chasing the game.

I'd love that. I'd like to see Pugh at left back and get him linking up with Etherington.

I think that if Pugh plays left back TP will have to change the midfield to a more defensive one

I wonder if Tonge will play again this season? It would be nice to see him playing just off Fuller on Saturday.

Kelly on the other hand has looked pretty assured coming forward in the rare moments that we've seen him He was an attacking full-back when he was at Spurs (according to my friends who support them).

There must be a Plan B work-around that does NOT involve Cresswell.
Surely?
Olofinjana just off Fuller? Tonge just off Fuller? Tonge wide right with Lawrence off Fuller? A proper 4-5-1 with Pugh or Olofinjana coming in at CM and Dicko LB?
If you haven't got a Prem-standard forward to come in, surely you've got to work around it? If he asks himself 'what would I do if Cresswell was injured?', he'll hit on the best formula for Saturday by a process of elimination.

Cresswell hat trick to shut up the moaning t**ts that insist on insulting our own players. Instead of doom and gloom why not try and build the guy up. He has always given 100% and his goal took us up. If the guy is to be hounded out of the club, let the guy go out with a bit of dignity ffs!

To be honest, i never expected anything from Fulham, and given he's bound to start Cresswell, it's a good job.
If it was down to me, Cresswell would be slightly below Griffin in the "chances of playing for Stoke City ever again". He's bloody awful.

Cresswell does get nudging £1m-a-year for his troubles. Poor lad.
His effort has never been in question but he's regressed even from last season.
But he does know the Pulis system and what's expected in that 4-4-1-1 role, so you'd have to back him to get the nod.

I would like to see:
Kelly at right back
Dicko at left back
Olifinjana playing behind Fuller

Personally i would put oli just behind the front man. He used to score quite a few for wolves in a more attacking role and we know he can strike a ball. We could even be pleasantly suprised.
I must admit i can't stand the thought of cresswell starting but if he does he will get my full support. I just feel really sorry for the bloke. Never moans, always gives it his all, doesn't pick himself, but he just simply aint good enough and will most definately know this himself.
I'd probably give dicko a run out at left back as i think he deserves the same chances as the other lads from last season. Very similar in style to wilko so i reckon he could make the step up.

----------------Sorro------------------- Kelly-------Ryan-------God------Pugh Tonge------Rory-----Glenn----Ethers -----------------Lenny--------------- -----------------Fuller----------------- Would be pretty exciting to watch! I like the look of that, but would swap Lawro and Tonge. Tonge off Fuller worked really well in the last 15 vs Arsenal, Tongey is a clever player IMO. Oh and I would go Dicko for Pugh, purely because I still think he's one for the future. But I think we can be virtually certain it will be a right dog's dinner of a formation (ala Blackburn away), with Cresswell CERTAIN to start. Fulham 1 - 0 Stoke I reckon.

mrpickles,
Cresswell also earns £16,000 per week. For that sort of money, he should be capable of a little more than running about a bit.
I'd never boo him, but i've no great desire to see him in a shirt ever again. Plus, we NEVER do anything but lose when he plays!!!!

We still need points - so first port of call for TP will be the back four then work out the rest
For me I would have Kelly on (let Wilko get 100% for West Ham etc) and also Kelly bloomin good in his right position and can relieve pressure by running it up the line
Then Pugh - because he has done ok there and is much more match fit than Dicko
Hope we go 5 midfield - with either Oli or Camara pushing on protected by Rory and Whelan to get on to Ric up front winning balls
By the way - sad for Higgy if he is out rest of season Hope Beattie is very short term and he doesnt want to risk him as we still need a home win

Camara needs games, he's perfect for the Hull game, because they defend so high up the pitch and he has the pace to expose that, but he needs games.
If we go two up front, he has to be given a chance.

would prefer Dicko at left back more than Pugh Everybody don't forget to change your fantasy teams if you've got Beats or Higgy on Satdee.

He's an established Premiership player after all.
Ridiculous.

Vestan i know he should mate and i try not to look away anytime we break and he gets the ball because you know he's just gonna break the move down. Its fair enough to say he should be doing more, it all sounds so simple put like that but the lad is trying, it's just unfortunate for us and him that he lacks any ability to be a premier league player. As for the wage he's on, i agree that it's way too much for the player he is, but if i was him i certainly wouldn't be turning it down and if he goes in the summer which i think he will then lets just call another reward for the goals he scored last season which helped massively to get us promoted.

Given the injury list TP should give Camara a run, just in case Beattie thigh injury doesnt clear up. He knows what he gets from Cressie and as stated above Camara would be very useful getting behind Hull defence if needed

Cresswell is more 'suited' to the Beattie role than Camara. I would be amazed if he starts with Camara and Fuller. Pugh will play left back me thinks. Dear Knowlesy, I am aware you put suited in "quotes" but Cresswell does not have arole at this leverl.Surely we should start with someone who has scored at this level this season Camara or Olofinjana who has played in thst very position for Wolves awy from home on many occasions. It rellay makes me wonder how much we check a player out before signing because Olofinjana thrives in that role and of course has scored acouple for us this season. I am already starting to get depressed about Saturday. Injury having forced Salif out of contention the Cressy situation is the one black spot on my season. I dont boo him or his slection but in all the good TP has done this year I cannot fathom this huge blind spot. Cresswell far from doing anything positive has actually cost us points in his abject failure whenever he is on the pitch. There is absolutely no reason why we dont play a straight 4 4 2 at Fulham with Camara up front with Riccardo or if we feel a bit more defensive play Olofinjana in that secondary role.
