If hes the best ref in the country we are well and truly buggered. His decisions were bizarre and that was a definite penalty when Fuller got brought down. He gave us bugger all.

Tough game to ref. Fuller probably was a peno .... but he didn't help himself by doing the dying swan. At least Webb was fair to both sides ... I didn't think he got anything big really wrong.

Yeah but Ricardo did milk it a bit, I thought the ref was stern but fair. I mean, Stoke v Blackburn was always going to be a physical game and I thought he did a good job of keeping in charge, even if it did mean the game was far too stop/start for my liking. Also, reffed under some of the other excuses for officials in this league and Stoke or Blackburn could of easily been down to 10 men or less.

If that penalty had been given it would have been harsh, Fuller went to ground very easily. Apart from not letting the game flow I thought he did quite well

But when you see a player blatantly play-act lick Ricardo did you are going to be more cautious about giving the penalty. It would of been even more of a mistake if he give it and Fuller dived (obviously we wouldn't of minded ;D ), but imagine if it was the other way round and a duff decision cost us the match, we would be baying for his blood by now!

Beattie could have got a penalty too when two of them man handled him to the floor. He played odd "advantages" and didn't mind Samba going through the back of Fuller and Beattie at every opportunity. And Fullers yellow was a joke. Bald headed bastard!

You might have a point about Riccy's play acting, but he seemed quite ready to accept the play acting of Blackburn. He was without doubt, biased and he must be gutted that he couldn't disallow our goal. All in all though, a crappy game, crappy ref, but a great result.

At least we won though ay! ;D If we can get 3 points with a shit ref then we should have no problems with the good 'uns (not that there are many in the premier league).

As above, if this clown is the best god help us, this is the same clown that booked Messi for "diving" the other week, 2/10 from me i'm afraid, made some shocking and very strange decisions today and almost ruined the game.

I wasn't there so i saw all of the incidents replayed in slow motion etc on the net. Being there and seeing things once from 50 yards away isn't the ideal way to get the best grasp on it surely? Fuller's wasn't a penalty and neither was Beattie's.

I think you'll find Fullers was a blatant penno, Foghorn and Johnny Acres saw the replays and both agreed he'd got it wrong on P&G.

Radio Stoke were positive it was a pen. I'll make my own mind up when I see it.
GHenerally i thought the wanker was poor. One of those who thought we'd gone to watch him.
The worst for me was fullers booking.

Howard Webb had a decent game i thought, i know a lot about the laws of the game and can see why plenty of the decisions he made, were made.
And as for Fullers booking, spot on, clearly stamped at the Center Back, and well handelled by Mr webb.
Some decisions bemused everyone though, theres an interesting fact that referees get 98% of decisions right in premier league fixtures.

I don't need to find anything thanks I've already seen it and if we all agree with Gleghorn and Acres it would be very dull. Seen it and he went down like a sack of spuds. The defender didn't even put a foot out. If it helps on the net they both said it wasn't a penalty and they are not Stoke supporters. Oooooh controversial eh? ;D

He had a very strange game. Displayed some excellent refereeing for example when he played advantage then went back and booked their player, and Fuller's booking was a booking. Ric was annoyed at losing the ball and threw himself at Samba so he could catch him, typical Fuller. However he made some really shocking decisions, and failed to give free kicks which were obvious for fouls on Beattie and Fuller from their centre halves.
Also, why did he feel the need to discuss with every single player on the pitch at length after every decision he made?
