Some decisions bemused everyone though, theres an interesting fact that referees get 98% of decisions right in premier league fixtures. How can opinion be fact? Who says if a decision is right or wrong? That fact is bollocks. Fact.

The Fuller one was definitely not a penalty. Webb was just the usual ref giving fouls whenever someone falls over, this doesn't happen in the championship, seems refs in the prem are scared to let anything go.

Tell that to Dennis smith BHP. Was at his speech at Ref club the other week with my old man. He sits on a panel and goes around analysing matches etc and sits down with both gaffers and goes through the match and key decisions.

I've seen the Fuller icident several times from different angels and must admit it would have been a very hash decision if it had been given. On the other hand I think Higgy should have been awarded a penalty from one of our corner kicks in the second half.

Another poor referee I'm afraid, right on the back of last weeks clown vs Newcastle. I'm fairly confident his decision making was little better than pot-luck on his part, and he was taken in by every Diouf and Samba dive. Agree Fuller made far too much of his penalty claim, but the Beattie claim was a nailed-on penno. Blackburn's main defensive tactic today was to wrap their arms around the Stoke players and hold them in place - a good referee should have noticed this.
Very poor refereeing, but a good result!

From a fair distance mind. I've analysed every Stoke game this season with my own eyes and I can declare that Referee's are shit. Fact.

He had a very strange game. Displayed some excellent refereeing for example when he played advantage then went back and booked their player, and Fuller's booking was a booking. Ric was annoyed at losing the ball and threw himself at Samba so he could catch him, typical Fuller. However he made some really shocking decisions, and failed to give free kicks which were obvious for fouls on Beattie and Fuller from their centre halves. Also, why did he feel the need to discuss with every single player on the pitch at length after every decision he made? That seems a pretty good summary of Webb's performance - I'd also give him credit for the way he dealt with Ryan after the handbags-at-dawn incident with their defender. He was an improvement on last Saturday - not that takes much.

I thought Webb was truely awful today, he thinks we have paid money to come and see him! He speaks to everyone like they are about 5 years old, and he is far to fussy and won't let the game flow. Thought he was embarrasing today

Disgraceful performance from Webb.

I thought he did well...Blackburn vs Stoke was always going to be physical! I thought he could have blown up for tons of challenges more than he did but kept it flowing as much as he could. It wasn't a penalty either...Riccy sought the contact from Samba when he could have ridden the challenge if he'd have wanted. The frustration comes when you see some given be other refs!

Truly dreadful performance from Webb. I think I can count on one hand the amount of 50-50's that went our way. He basically let Blackburn referee the game (even taking their word that Ric wasn't his full yards whilst being 30 yards away from Ric himself.) He pretty much sums up the standard at this level.

Not a penalty to me. Thought Webb overall had a decent game. Total crap. It was a penalty. Regardless of the dramatics, the defender did not get the ball but he did get the player. Penalty. Plus, he booked Fuller for absolutely fuck all. He did not impress me one little bit. SGS

I haven't seen the penalty, but he had two choices. Either give the penalty or book Fuller for diving! He did nothing!! Beattie was getting jumped on constantly and they were getting away with it.

I though the ref was poor today. The two penalty claims in the first half looked good ones to me and there were a lot of iffy challenges in the air. He only seemed to give the decisions in our favour when we were defending.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Shawcross 'incident' in the 6 yard box. I would like to know what the South Standers thought, because from where I sit I feared he could have been in a fair bit of trouble!
