1. Nobody has EVER been relegated from the Premiership having had 38pts with 6 games to go (when West Ham were relegated on 42pts, they only had 31pts with 6 to play and were in the bottom 3) 2. We will be 9pts clear of them and they WILL NOT make up more than 9 points over us in their remaining 6 games. Realistically even if we only pick up another 2 points after the Newcastle game, this puts us on 40pts meaning that Newcastle would have to win 4 of their remaining 6 to overtake us. Won't happen. 3. Boro and Brazil are already gone and are no longer challengers to us 4. For us to finish 18th, every team below us would have to finish stronger than us (not just Newcastle). This simply will not happen. 5. There is no 5, but I didn't just want 4 points Now i'm not one for getting carried away but I absolutely 100% believe that a win next week sees us safe. Newcastle will be relegated with less than 38pts.

I'd settle for a draw, maintain the gap and keep the pressure firmly on them. Would be nice to go to Arsenal not having to get a result and ready for a massive party in the capital!

We just need to 'tick off' games now. A win would be great but a draw is no use at all to Newcastle and so would be ok for us. For sure we want the win but, feet on the ground, we have to expect the odd poor result even now and they will be well up for Saturday. I'm confident but we need to guard against any 'doom and gloom' if it doesn't happen on Saturday. We've got a great chance now and simply need better results than any one of 4 other clubs in order to stay up - IT WILL HAPPEN!

I'd really like it to be sorted before Arsenal just so we can go there and play a relaxed game. You never know, we may just upset their final home game?!

relegating the geordies would be great fun anfield i've got to admit. It winds me up how they just haven't taken on board that although they used to be a decent side, they are now absolute cack. Very, very deluded, perhaps even more than west brazils fans (close call) I'll guess you'll be watching the shit against villa very closely later won't you? After yesterday i've just got the feeling that its gonna be your season as you've done exactly what utd seem to do (snatching victory right at the end) I hope to god that you lot do it.
