I totally disagree about his positioning Doz, I think he's a terrific reader of the game. I agree that Vidic's arrival has seen him improve a lot, but Ferdinand has been hugely important to Man Yoo over the last three seasons and was superb last year in captaining them to doemstic and European success. I can't think of too many defenders around, English or otherwise, who are better.

From Stoke, it is gonna be either Abdy or Wilko. On improvement, it has to be Wilko, because he has been absolutely outstanding this year.
From everywhere else, id say either Gerrard, or Vidic.
